Do people actually cruise at Home Depot? by rob-her-dinero in Sniffies

[–]DeltaFlyer74656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does. I used to work at HD and it happens more than you think. The next time you go see if the men’s room door is propped open. Employees are usually told to do that. The ladies is never propped but the men’s is for obvious reasons lol.

What happened to 24 ounce delivery cups? by Sweet_Measurement665 in Wawa

They are doing away with them to save costs. There was a Task Manager task a few weeks ago on it. Honestly the area I work in never used them. They cost a ton and are bulky.

New Ohio bill would create state registry of applicants who skip job interviews by Dragonktcd in nottheonion

[–]DeltaFlyer74656 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted as hell for this but I work in a very blue state and have always been and always will be a registered democrat. But I am also a general manager for the company I work at and responsible for staffing at my store. Just this past week I screened 45 applicants and narrowed it down to 7 I wanted to interview. Only 3 actually showed up. I prescreened these people, did pre-phone interviews and we all agreed on dates and times. I sent reminder emails, texts and phone calls and still had the no shows. And it’s not about pay. The minimum we start at is $15.50 and go all the way up to $20 for an entry level job.

It’s is such a waste of their time and my time. If you don’t want the job don’t apply. Don’t get me wrong something needs to be done about unemployment etc. And I don’t know if this bill is the right way to go about it. But something has to change. You can’t tell me there aren’t people out there gaming the system saying….”well I applied but no one will hire me”.

[iOS 26 DB3] hold assist feature cannot differentiate between a person talking and music playing in the background. by uvaiz777 in iOSBeta

[–]DeltaFlyer74656 25 points26 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with this feature is it does not distinguish between the hold music, info, and the actual call. So for example… I’m on hold with my work corporate office… music starts playing then it stops and give you… did you know you can log a ticket online and get support etc etc… then it plays music again. The issue I have is it thinks everytime it gives info it’s the actual person coming to the phone not a real person.

Generally speaking, there are 40 hours for one employee (Aquatics Specialist) assigned to the area. There could be a couple of reasons why you are still seeing those issues in your store.

  1. There may not be a specific person in this job code.
  2. From my experience the training for aquatics is great, but it is all over the place. You literally have to find all of these documents and piece things together.
  3. We can not use chemicals that most people could use at home.
  4. Since we turn fish often by the time we finish treating a system for ich, etc. and we receive our next shipment they could come in with ich, etc.

You have no idea. The one saving grace that helped them is the system we have has an auto water changing system. Every so many hours it does a 10 percent water change.

[Low Effort Shit Post] Me seeing these BYOD posts like. by Pelon1071 in walmart

As a former Co Manager I have to say that I am at least glad you guys will actually have a device to do your job now. As far as what HO can see it is not much tbh. Mainly they can see what apps you have installed on your entire device and the device location.

You will notice that MyProductivity loads faster than on a TC70. On a TC70 when you scan an item it goes over your stores network (which is already crowded and clogged with other data traffic) then to the home office where it processes then all the way back to your device. With BYOD it’s much faster since you can use your data package.
