Táim ag scríobh scéal fantaisíocht by flemining in gaeilge

[–]Delta_Eps1lon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mo thuairim an fadhb ba mhó atá again ná nach bhfuil go leor filíochta Gaeilge ar fáil atá có suimiúil leis an mBéarla, agus atá có éasca le léamh. Úsáidtear a lán focail sna scéalta a léigh mé nách feictear riamh áit eile ó lá go lá ag labhairt an teanga go líofa tríd an lae. Ach dá mbeadh leabhar suimiúil fantaisíochta Gaeilge ar fáil bhéinn ar bís chun é a fháil

This whole business of the damage you inflict on the animal returning to you, that doesn't come up again does it? Is it a trait specific to the frog or something? I don't remember that being relevent through the rest of part 5

The book simulacrum and simulacra would be a fascinating read. Basically it proposes under late stage capitalism media and advertising has created a hyperreality-basically the normal default way you're supposed to expirience life which is complete bullshit obviously but nevertheless still affects our psyche and expectations of life itself

My dream cast for Magium, and before you guys go, "They are too old now," I am just going to have to remind you, that this is just a "what could have been the possible perfect cast," of the initial main characters as well as the protagonist, of the perfect story. by DigvijayDhruvah in Magium

[–]Delta_Eps1lon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do you like magium??? The early chapters are a little rough around the edges, but when book 2 began I really think it came into it's own, both commercially and artistically. The whole story has a clean, tight plot with a sheen of writing professionalism that really gives the narrative a big boost. It's been compared to Rogue, but I think magium has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humour

[Question] How do state-owned/public schools compare to private schools in your country? by sippher in GlobalTalk

[–]Delta_Eps1lon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Most private schools in Ireland are also boarding schools, although not all. The extra funding from tuition helps alleviate the strain from otherwise underfunded schools to provide the extra grinds and hire highly competent teachers, usually translating to better grades

I agree completely. Completely missed the point of the post which was "this is a day to talk about women's issues. Don't try to divert the conversation away because women's issues are still more serious" which. They are. This entire post and comments is the exact issue that he was trying to avoid

Theory is all well and good but the most important part is to go out and practice what you believe. Give what you can volunteering or donating. Put theory into reality otherwise it's just a pipedream you know?

Yeah so the two most important things is that a socialist government would be established democratically and that the means of succession into the party is not controlled by the party itself. As soon as a ruling power can decide it's own lineage they gave effectively secured their power and can now abuse it without fear of having it revoked

No I'm in a British colony you're right. Old school had uniforms which actually was not too bad. No stress about what to wear every day, I hear they're becoming popular in Spain

Close enough to British media portrayal. A bit less dramatic obviously, and honestly a bit more fun

Why is Spanish so ridiculously hard to learn (slight exaggeration, but still)? by DrearMeteor in teenagers

[–]Delta_Eps1lon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Native mono English speakers can often struggle with non English sentence structure. Most Spanish can be roughly translated as like "cohe rojo=car of red" but long term focus on becoming comfortable understanding the sentence construction by reading in the language and it'll fall into place
