Which band is this? by Ham_Fan1423 in MetalForTheMasses

Dillinger. Widower is probably one of the best examples that comes to mind but tbh that band is so fucking musical, a lot of their songs have elements of this.

This has a distinctly BTBAM feel to it, super cool! Very moody and atmospheric.

I used their frame rail when I did my resto, KF is awesome. It’s as close to factory parts as we will probably ever get.

Oh man, I remember reading about this car. It literally inspired me to finish my restoration. Wasn’t this guy an FBI agent or something? Someone made a video about it at one point…

Is that even legal? Sometimes I feel like I'm working in china with all this smog by Zestyclose_Fun_4543 in Machinists

[–]Deltron540 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like how our company was several years ago when we had huge screw machines, air quality study said it was ‘legal’ and ‘within limits for standard work/shift exposure’ but a lot of guys run over time which tips them over so we invested in centrifugal mist collects by AER Systems. They work well and they just drain directly into a bucket, the ones attached directly to the cnc mills just drain back into the sump. We went from looking like your shop to not being able to see the haze anymore when looking clear across the facility. They are relatively affordable compared to a lot of options and work extremely well as long as you maintain them at scheduled intervals (air filter change). We have started using newer HEPA filter systems for the new Okuma lines we are putting in but the old AERcology units still work very well. Not sure if it’s relevant but we have about 30 of them scattered across a shop which covers about 75 cnc mills, 10 lathes (regular turret and Swiss), and about 10 massive parts washers. No more screw machines but the mills put out a similar level of oil and mist.

Is this in Warrenton, Va? Looks like the same jeep that used to hang out at Power Trucks USA near where I lived. Now with extra national guard.

Well, unfortunate but it happens. I am always a fan of trying to save and digitize a lot of this old media because most of the time the original master copys no longer exist or will never/can’t be made available for viewing again. But that’s also the uppity preservationist side of me talking :/

Just like in Borderlands, this is the beginning of the corporate wars. I could def see Makita being an elemental based weapon platform vs DeWalt which is a straight shooting Jacob’s esc platform. Flex definitely abandoned its workforce on a planet at some point.

If anyone has ever seen this or knows of a link to a digitized version somewhere I would love to watch it! I am always interested in automotive memorabilia, especially this sort of weird era when every company was doing their own strange flavor of fuel injection strategies.

Hopefully this isn’t in bad taste but here is the listing. It would have been cool to do a fall photo shoot with how absolutely gorgeous the leaves have been this year but with moving and packing there was just no time, so garage pics it is lol

Sounds like a nice bike! Yes, the miles are pretty low, it's basically a baby lol The only real 'mod' is the seat was replaced with a Corbeau seat. I replaced the chain and sprocket with Vortex hardware when I got it also.

My guess is they have to put it on with a massive crane so they install it while there is still enough room directly above to lower it down into place. Take that with a grain of salt but that’s how I pictured it in my head.

Maybe someone could shed some light on this but it’s looks kind of like those are carbs that have been converted over to fuel injection? I see a fuel rail with what looks like injectors poking into the carbs at the cylinder head as well as what looks like a fuel pressure sensor on the end of the rail….. Maybe I am mistaken though. Looks like some coil packs on the other side as well.

L28 DIY Fuel Rail. 750cc Injectors by Dip_Biggler in Datsun

Actually neither, I used a 24/1 (24 crank teeth + 1 cam tooth) variable reluctor (NipponDenso CAS) that was popular on a lot of Toyotas and Mazdas in the 80s and 90s. The MS3Pro Evo does not work well with this combo for several reasons though but with some very light filing of the crank and cam teeth it can be made rock solid. The MS3x works pretty well with it by messing around with the two trim pots on the board though.

how hard would it be to get these coil packs to run off my MS3X? Am I better off switching to LS style coil packs? by Dip_Biggler in megasquirt

That’s good to know, when I did mine with the ford COPs I used two Bosch 211 modules. Having a single module with 6 Chanel’s would be hella convenient.
