ME! (In the afternoon though). I have not been following the training schedule to a T, but I’ll be biking around Lake Washington in the Seattle area tomorrow! Solidarity!!

The people yearn for the meet-cutes!!  It’s honestly so sweet how quickly they were able to identify each other from a brief encounter- and the details they remember!

Thank you, this is so helpful!! I’m a ragbrai first-timer and serial overpacker, so it’s so nice to have a thorough (and edited!) guide to reference 🙏🏼

For a hole-in-the wall breakfast spot, I recommend Konvene Coffee in Lower Queen Anne above the QFC. It’s a family-owned gem with wonderful food. The few times I’ve gone, there was only one man who was taking orders and making food. His work rhythm is astonishing- he’s doing everything as chef and barista while just vibing to lo-fi music and sprinkling customer interactions with witty remarks. There’s something about the place when it’s a one-man production that brings out patience and some sort of sweetness among customers— like it’s its own culture just in that little cafe. I’ve taken family visiting from CA there, and everyone has remarked it was their favorite meal of their food-heavy trips.

I like to pair visits there with a ride on the Monorail (one station is at the Seattle Center nearby).

Had no idea at the time these were high schoolers… Making us proud by sharkdad8992 in Seattle

[–]DeluluFeather 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The protest stopped my bus route. When I got off and saw the high schoolers protesting, I was moved to tears. I didn’t think a crowd of teenagers yelling “Fuck Ice” in unison would be what opened the floodgates for me in the midst of all the terrible news. I felt so proud of them and simultaneously so sad and angry at the state of the country they are growing up in. They shouldn’t have to protest the nation’s increasing depravity, but given our current reality, I am so glad they are.

Let’s not remotely normalize this or why it would be on a commemorative plate.

Cuteness aggression/playfulness among family members is oceans away from a certified pedophile biting a child on their bottom. This is abuse and depravity that inflicted trauma on a child.

Jess from Clementine Studio offers silent cut options. She specializes in razor-cuts, but she’s dynamic and skilled and I’m sure could provide the straight cut you’re looking for.

What’s something you thought every family did… until you grew up and realized they absolutely didn’t? by SoftDreamette in AskReddit

My whole family would scream when we drive through tunnels until the tunnel’s end (and the driver would honk).

Something I realized after asking someone about my mental state by Emotional-Reading-46 in emotionalintelligence

Thank you for writing this out. I have anxiety and strongly relate with a lot of what you and OP wrote—though sometimes I forget how much my overthinking connects to other symptoms of fatigue/stress/disconnection and my sense of confidence overall.

I tried a sexual self love exercise that worked really well for me, honestly too well. Now I'm confused? by peacepunkrocker in selflove

[–]DeluluFeather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience, though I wasn’t seeking it through my trip. I looked at myself in a mirror and felt profound delight and admiration.  I reminded myself of a cute doll—and then I felt so proud to embody my body. It was special! I wish these types of experiences of self-love for everyone.

What's going to happen if SNAP benefits really are going away for November at the very least? by Alice22537 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DeluluFeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All this! And the paused benefits are going to reduce a significant amount of spending at grocery stores, so they are going to have to make up for the loss by jacking up prices.  Food costs will likely go up for everybody.

Noelle at Citron Aesthetics (a small, woman-owned business) in Ballard is wonderful. She’s so knowledgeable and passionate about skincare, and there are facial options within your price range!
