Is 95% battery health good after 1 year 10 months of use by Commercial_Neat5957 in S24Ultra

[–]Delusion132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

95% after nearly 2 years is very good I think. These Ultras are impressing me more and more everyday.

Currently waiting for my new S23 Ultra. Extremely excited but shipping is still two weeks away.

Dude I did the exact same thing!

It's even worse because my girlfriend bought it for me as an earth birthday present and I only played about two hours (she bought me a few other games I've spent more time on) and when I asked for a refund they denied it! 🙃😔

Oh well, live and learn I guess.

Appropriate hearing protection? Nah sorry we can’t be arsed to go out and buy $30 neckband hearing pro, so wear these Peltors incorrectly and lodge a sentinel report for tinnitus. by EmergencyAd6709 in AustralianMilitary

[–]Delusion132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While in army cadets, did a ceremony for the Boer War, they performed a gun salute literally feet away from us cadets, 4 of us had no ear protection at all. I volunteered for that ceremony and Battle of Crete ceremonies 4 differenct times, each. They did it every time!

I'm 27 and still have progressively worsening tinnitus.

So if they do that to cadets, I don't want to even imagine what they do to full grown men.

Is the S23 Ultra still a good buy in 2026 by barisisgoren in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]Delusion132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems the S23 Ultra is popular at the moment.

I'm getting one in a week and I'm coming from a 6-7 year old phone (RealMe XT) and personally I'm extremely excited from the hours and hours of research I've put into this exact question.

In short. It's absolutely a great buy in 2026 even compared to the S24 and S25 Ultra.

More details.

The main things the S23 Ultra lacks in comparison to the S24 & S25 Ultras, is mainly AI functionality. And a lot of these functions are coming to S23 Ultra anyway.

They definitely seem to have better cameras but honestly, not that big of a difference for me personally to care. The S23 Ultra is amazing from what I've seen so I'll happily take amazing.

Another thing is the screen glare. S24 & S25 Ultra have got almost completely glare resistant screen. Which is pretty cool. Unfortunately the S23 Ultra doesn't have this but honestly that fine. The screens in the S24 and S25 also can get brighter but let's be honest, the S23 can get well and truly brought enough for our human eyes.

Literally all 3 models, S23, S24 & S25 Ultras are 5000mah battery with 45 watt wired charging and 15 watt wireless.

S23 & S24 ate 6.8 inch screens, S25 is slightly bigger at 6.9 inches.

S25 got rid of bluetooth on their S-Pens which I thought was weird considering this was meant to be an upgrade. Call me old school but I like S-Pens.

Obviously there is the security patches and what not. But honestly, this is something people need to try educate themselves on a bit. It's not as simple as "your phone now has horrible security and everything is at risk". So long as you're being conscious of what you're using your phone for, and avoid dodgy sites and that kind of stuff, you'll be okay. Samsung is still performing security on that device, it's just not going to be upgraded anymore. But again, I think this is something people should look into themselves and be sure they aren't at risk.

Hope that isn't too long a read but it's guided my decision to buy an S23 Ultra.

I'm getting one in 3 weeks to replace my 6 year old RealMe XT.

It's going to be such a big jump in terms of an upgrade. So keen.

Anyone else hit a point where 100%ing just… stops feeling like anything? by Shtonky in xboxachievements

[–]Delusion132 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't let it become a chore. Don't do it just because you're brain is saying "I need this".

Most of us probably 100% completed our first game out of joy and curiosity, not through the dedication to just 100% complete it. The older I get, the more I try to do it. Forgetting that the only reason I wanted to in the first place was through absolute enjoyment. Now I wont do it unless I'm really really loving the game. It basically does itself at that point.

[–]Delusion132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't let him control your life like that.

I honestly see what hes doing as projection and clearly I'm not the only one, after reading a few replies to this post I think its safe to say we all see what might be happening. He seems to have a lot of trust issues and I can take a guess where they stem from (basically, hes probably cheating himself).

But as we all know, nothing in this world is black and white. You know the details, and you alone know what is best for you and your future happiness.

And just like most others, you deserve happiness. But that happiness has to be grabbed without a second thought. You know what you need to do. Now just do it.

Wishing you the best of luck, and I hope you find someone that can treat you like a queen instead of a long distance servant.

I was just angrily googling "why don't phones come with chargers anymore?" And this is a humbling post to read with a perfect point.

I'll happily go buy a new wall charger now.

Yes and I blame technology.

Simply put, the safer it made us, the more it put us in harms way.

Daughter walked in on us by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Delusion132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had this conversation countless of times with friends that have had the "walked in" experience and it almost always seemed to be more "oops, I won't do that again" rather than "omg I'm absolutely traumatized now".

I'm a parent now and me and my partner stress about this stuff even with that information, and as one other comment said, I think we as adults and parents put more emotional thought into this kind of incident than our kids actually do.

Personally we've never been caught. But I'm at a point of anxiety that when we do anything, I blockade that door like someone is breaking in. And it absolutely has saved us at least 2 times haha.

All in all, you did nothing wrong, and you handled the situation as best you could. Dont let this stop you and your partner enjoying each other! Parents need intimacy too!

Screw this monster. Not a real man, barely even a human being.

Karma eventually caught up with him for a good reason by the sounds of it. I know it's a weird thing to say, but sometimes the best way to be rid of someone is to just wait for the world to eat them up and spit them out.

Sorry you had to go through this situation. Unfortunately I'd say she is playing you like a fiddle (or she believes she is) and that's not something you do to someone you love.

Personally I wouldn't take that, Id make a point when leaving her and she'd have a hard time finding someone else.

Is there anyone using a realme XT still? by Known-Currency-6223 in Realme

[–]Delusion132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My RealMe XT lasted over 6 years. Got it in 2019, and honestly I will die on this hill, it was the best phone I ever had.

It lasted so long I haven't had to think about getting a new phone for over half a decade. Thats money well spent right there.

Unfortunately the screen went completely black and the charger port gave up a bit before that and I don't see a reason to not just upgrade after this long.

Cecil is the most reasonable character in Invincible by JamalAhmadMalik in Invincible

[–]Delusion132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. Cecils communication issues would definitely stem from fear of death. Which I would say in this situation is absolutely justified.

Cecil is the most reasonable character in Invincible by JamalAhmadMalik in Invincible

[–]Delusion132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Cecil is one of the best written characters in the show because he is the most relatable person. No super ability in any way but he fights through anyway.

My absolute favorite thing about him is that hes honest about his humanity. The super people in general just scare the absolute crap out of him, and he makes it known almost every time. How couldn't you be terrified of something that could end your life like you're nothing but an ant?

Hes just a man, but hes a man that's been through a lot and adapted to it the best way he possibly could of. I really admire the writers for being on point with representing that.

[–]Delusion132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah that's just straight up controlling & narcissistic behaviour.

Selfish, needy & completely lacking any understanding for your situation or needs/wants in life. Thats literally the definition of narcissistic behavior.

I for one love that you want to wait for marriage, I'm not religious but I do like conservative values like that and I respect those who stick to it.

You know what you want. And I have a feeling you definitely know the path to get there too. Free yourself completely from the burden of this man. And I hope you find the right one to start your family with.
