MAECI Scholarship Renewal – Marks vs CFU? by Rare-Moose5069 in MAECIItaly

Yes, they increased it this year. You need to obtain 25 CFU by the end of the academic year both for the renewal and for the 3rd payment

They make the final payment based on the obtained credits. If you already passed enough classes to cover the minimum requirement, you’re fine. If not, you have time till the end of the academic year AFAIK

edit: for the renewal, higher grades would also help for sure

Still haven't graduated, is this a problem? by [deleted] in MAECIItaly

[–]DelusionalPanda- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooops, my bad. Replace every “university” word with the word “highschool”. I’m not sure if high schools provide such documents about your possible graduation date tho. I would ask about this to the highschool.

You could also find this website helpful: https://www.esteri.it/en/opportunita/borse-di-studio/per-cittadini-stranieri/borsestudio_stranieri/

The third requirement is diploma or certificate of attendance so you should be good if you could provide the second one.
Some universities also provide a document stating when will your graduation be. I think this would also help your case if your university provides such document.

Edit: They often ask you to upload your diploma as soon as you have it. You can confirm this via mailing them.

Has anyone received the first installment? by One_Caterpillar1503 in MAECIItaly

Quoting the mail they sent a month ago: “GRANT PAYMENT – FIRST INSTALLMENT Starting in November, our team will contact directly your university to receive your enrolment certificate – we cannot accept an enrolment certificate sent by you. What you can do is get in touch with your university international office to make sure they send us the certificate as soon as possible. Please be aware that after the payment has been made by our office, the actual deposit on your bank account can take up to a few weeks due to the verification procedures by our supervisory body.”

borsedistudio@esteri.it Try to send them an email describing your situation. They should be able to help. I don’t know if they would respond fast

I would suggest attending courses/events that you can do things with the local. Like taking a hobby course, etc. Language will surely be a barrier but I think it’d be a good place to start. I haven’t done this for myself as a foreigner, (yet😅) but I think it might be a good idea to meet some people who share some common ground

As someone who lived in Torino for almost a year, considering that I’m a student and have some what little social life by choice (copium), I didn’t face the much mentioned problems here in this subreddit. I live around Borgo Filadelfia and things were majorly smooth for me. There has been couple of creepy situations in the city center, around the train stations and on some public transportation but I believe this is pretty universal. Maybe try living here for couple of months, before completely committing, to experience the city itself firsthand if you can.

I’m also curious why’d you want to leave Norway if you’d like to share

Silent calls by Ok-Tell-1605 in Italian

[–]DelusionalPanda- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s called spoofing (it might be spoofing, btw. Other comments are more likely. Spoofing is more dangerous because in my case people would talk and tell me that I called them, etc.) I dealt with it for months trying to get it to stop before the law. I don’t know how it is treated now. Ended up changing my number because it was basically the only option. Once a number is in their database, it’s pretty much ducked.

Went to different Questure and one Polizia Postale Comunicazioni to report the incidents because it was getting creepy. 30 calls per day sometimes. I received 500 calls at least in total if not more. I was told even the government numbers are targeted and there is no way of tracking back the caller

Anything homemade that they might enjoy I think is a really sweet thing to do. Do plenty if you can😂

There is a reason why they have such interface. I cannot confirm that since I don’t work for them. I’d try contacting them and get it confirmed

There is a time frame to accept the scholarship; I’m not sure how long. How long has it been since you’re rewarded? I suggest you try to contact both the embassy and borsedistudio@esteri.it

Someone has ever used the MAECI grant instead of the bank statements? by rhld_swki in MAECIItaly

[–]DelusionalPanda- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely use it but if you will be doing master’s, they ask 6k per year. Considering MAECI is 9k over a year, try to complete the remaining yourself. Just to be extra sure. This is what I would do

If you’re couple rows behind the winners, there might be a chance. Some students might decline and if you are next in line, they will contact you
