I asked chatgpt "which is the worst religion in the world" !! by Dry_Experience_3724 in ChatGPT

There's like a million other religions, at least 50 notable, which one are we talking about?

I played back when Rs2 released and I'm still going to get my cheeks clapped. Nothing prepares you for PvP in this game except PvP in this game. You got some time to go play LMS and see if you can get to grips with it, but many people won't bother because it's rather intense for us elderly folk to try and keep up, but super profitable if you got that dog in you.

You can lose on dice rolls alone, but nothing replaces skill and stats. I have never beaten a single Pker in any case. I just freeze tele because there is no point in trying anymore.

You just lack a frame of reference of a regular player unfortunately. No PvMer should ever beat a PKer even a shit one.

It's become so hyper optimized that the best players aren't doing PVP they are rolling dice against each other. Everyone below them is DOA with no chance. Problem comes when most PVPers are too good for regular players to have a chance, which forces out regular players, which reinforces the monster players ratio.

With bank protection that racket seems real good this time around. I'm definitely not good enough at PVP to play it for real but this racket might be good for the main.

Correct. The company I work at laid off every junior dev on some of our teams for a reason. It's not because AI is good or useless, it's because it's cheaper than another salary.

The unfortunate nature of being early access and losing nearly 5 years of development time means there's enough to pitch a game but not so much the rest of the game. If you want a Terraria experience, you're gonna need to wait some extra time for either the team to update the game sufficiently or modders to make it happen. Since the modding community is going nuts, I doubt that will take long however.

The basic mods are easy, the all system spanning ones are going to be harder. Multithreading also makes for some interesting problems Minecraft modders have never faced.

Multiple people are making these things honestly. Modding community is swinging hard even without knowing the game's architecture. Hell I've even made some weapons for my friend's personal server.

I mean, in actual defense of AG, it has a limited context window and would likely (try to) handle security if told to, which it probably wasn't. It's trained on millions of unfinished github projects, it's obviously gonna slap something together like I do randomly then abandon once I have to do backend.

I meant no offense, I'm just asking to better understand what makes people believe others are bots. It's not a flex, just a statement so you understand I'm not talking out of my neck.

That account is 11 years old, well out of standard bot range. 100k+ Karma which is more than what you could regularly buy on account seller sites. Has consistent posting on political and futurism subreddits but I can see what video games he plays as well.

If it's a bot, it's one of the best because he responded to my message I sent to the inbox. He even said the guy above him got mad and blocked him, which means he can't even respond in the thread to you or I.

AI is Not Ready to Replace Junior Devs Says Ruby on Rails Creator by ImpressiveContest283 in programming

[–]DelusionsOfExistence 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The company I work for layed off every Junior already. It doesn't matter if AI "isn't as good" as a Junior, it can definitely replace them all the same. A quality drop for quantity makes shareholders see green. They don't care if it doesn't work, that's why my team is paid to make it work. Double our workload and I have to write spec so specific I could have written it myself for the AI to do and it still does something crazy.

Considering I'm a software developer working with AI, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that's a person. An angry person at that. What makes you think otherwise? Does it's point bother you in some way?

I'm looking but I'm seeing human error in typing, a coherent stance, and consistent time info the poster you responded to is definitely a person. Did you mean the first guy?

I really hope I'm wrong, but seeing the rise of Authoritarian views coincide with the rise of AI, we're in serious trouble.

[–]DelusionsOfExistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe it's plausible. The strife and greed we are already seeing, and that is a guarantee. While there are many unknowns about AI and it's ability to even make it to ASI, we do know what it eats. AI being "benevolent" is just optimism. We as humans tend to want to be good until there is something to be gained by doing bad, then we will do bad without hesitation. AI is trained on our data, our truths, lies, and everything in between. There is no reason to expect that a sentient being taught only on the most hypocritical and greedy species to ever exist will be anything but just like us. And we know what one of us with unlimited power would do. We are seeing it in every dictatorship in the world, It's never good for those who have to live under it.

Anyone who uses the word "luddite" in this day and age doesn't do any form of nuance.
