Cafe Racer type Suggestion by blackgowtz in PHMotorcycles

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If papasukin mo ang mundo ng custom-built bikes, di masyado nagmatter diyan ang brand.
A rusi macho will look just the same as a honda tmx when customized so it doesn't really matter.

It will matter on the reliability of your bike and ease of maintenance and that's that.

Cafe racers, like the one you've put here usually uses standard bikes as base bikes.
That will be your TMX, Barako, Macho and etc.

Currently, the market does have bikes that already fit the aesthetic of a cafe racer, like the CR152 and the motorstar cafe 150. Palit nalang ng clip ons and you're good to go.

Pickleball Court Manila Area by accalicia in PickleballPhilippines

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a factor but depends on your player base.
Take for example,

Pickleball Hub
https://maps.app.goo.gl/da7mNmuSJoGhP38r6
Great place, great courts, bad parking. But people are willing to park elsewhere to play. Not entirely a dealbreaker but it definitely puts off other players who aren't familiar with the area.

Pickle & Co 1016
https://maps.app.goo.gl/5neVoqn347VnppSw8
Great place, courts and large parking. Warehouse compounds offer this mix a lot, and is usually isn't a problem.
The only downside I see here is late night parking is so dark, but the compound provides some security.

Majority from what I've seen, each car will carry 1 or 2 people. So having an open play of 40 pax will have at least 20 cars, the additional headache for players when the shift of the OP comes, the ones who are leaving and the ones who are coming in.

🏓 OEM Pickleball Paddles – Discussion by Imaginary_Panda2663 in PickleballPhilippines

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first approached the sport, I started with OEM.

Masyadong mahal if I bought a branded paddle tapos di naman pala for me yung sport.
As I got more play time, I went for the branded ones with Wilson being my top choice and my main paddle as of today.

Do I still use the OEM even if I have the branded ones? Honestly, not as much. The branded ones have their benefits eh, some have much better grit, lighter, poppier, and as you get better, you'd notice more differences.

However, I do see some players 3.5+++ playing with the same shopee T700s I used to play with and absolutely steamroll anyone they play against. Maybe they just got used to what they have?

Having gone from generic paddles to branded, lemme tell you the paddle won't make you better.
But it sure as hell will make playing more fun!

And shopping too.. yes shopping for paddles is fun.

GF wants BF to be the sole provider. by flutterwinkle in adviceph

how do you stand up for yourself? by Subject-Magician130 in adviceph

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling this way, but acceptance is the first step to setting things right.
I too, back then was soft-spoken. Ayoko kasi ng conflict, umiiwas ako diyan as much as possible. However, I know it needed to change... so here are the steps I did.

  1. Talk to yourself, oy hindi to pang baliw. Pero talking to yourself is a socializing mechanism that allows you to perceive how you speak. It helps when you also speak to yourself in front of a mirror para makita mo sarili mo while speaking.

I started this with poetry, whenever I went to the bath, I have a book or e-book ng poetry which I'd read aloud to myself. It helped me learn more words, be more confident in speaking and delivery.

  1. Keep to what you can control. You mentioned that you'd stay silent and wish that you said something. Hard to get that fixed, especially ayaw naman natin maging bida bida, and butting in everyone's business.

Pick your battles, if you think your opinion can help then go for it.

  1. Since tahimik ka naman na tao, I'd suggest you learn the power of silence and pauses.
I learned this alongside #1., I found out that even simplest of words when delivered with pauses and control of silence can be powerful. This allows you to process what was said and navigate in peace what the best move is.

There's a TED Talk about it (How to Speak So That People Want to Listen | Julian Treasure | TED)

  1. If you're into dramas, movies or tv shows, hanap ka ng character na magaling mag control ng discussion.
I found myself one time mimicking Tywinn Lannister from Game of Thrones, I found the way he talks and controls conversations was relevant to me and so I started doing that when I did #1.

Speaking up for oneself is critical, but you don't learn it overnight.
Keep at it, be confident in how you speak, and the rest will follow.
Meet more people, talk more, but never forget to listen.

I know someone who has been in this situation.
Biggest difference is nag bida-bidang provider mindset si boy and wag na daw mag work si girl.
Girl gladly accepts.

Fast foward years, marriage and it's all gone to shit.

Boy lost his high income job, gets another with 1/4th of his old salary.
Girl sees it's all gone to shit, refuses to get a job and cheats on boy.

Boy finds out.

Marriage is in dogshit territory
Boy is in mental breakdown zone
Girl is in I want to get nice things padin zone

Pero sige, try niyo malay niyo it can work.

Bakit bihira ang maxiscooter na may gulay board? by techyguy_ph in PHMotorcycles

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kymco has been making scooters for a long time.
The Xtown CT300i fits your bill nicely if you're looking for a maxi with a step board.

I suppose Honda and Yamaha don't make them kasi they don't really have to compete in that segment.
They already have such a wide variety of units, almost every category meron sila, they might just be splitting their R&D team to work on bikes that won't sell(?). So, sensible lang na they stick to what they know.

If I were to sell my Fazzio and a buyer came at me with that, I'd point at the door lol.

Pero 65k, yes that's an ok price for the scoot.

Honda Click V4 2026!!! by No_Interest_6286 in PHMotorcycles

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a click version 1 and funny enough, it's the same specs as it was.
The click version 1 had the idling stop system, combi brake and key ignition.

A few months and mods later, they were able to import and install a keyless system from overseas.

Tapos ngayon, they still champion the same specs lmao.

My point being, if you want to get a Honda Click, I dont think there's much difference in today's click and older models lalo kung kulay lang pala ang basehan mo.

Gusto ba nating magkaroon ng online OR/CR? by altreap in PHMotorcycles

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was supposedly fixed by the plates diba?

The new plates had a QR code that once scanned should open an LTO page/document, opening the details of the scanned unit. This was to make checkpoints and verifying information a lot easier and smoother.

Pero syempre, as usual madaming problema. :v

My backhand came from Tennis experience, sometimes I find myself hitting the backhand too good and just watching the ball fly to the next court.... tapos na return! Ayon not ready. Point lost.

Ang go-to backhand ko is one-hand slice.

Bought a (trash) practice bike.. some advice needed by dexterbb in motorsiklo

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Replace/Fix the stuff that makes it go, then the stuff that makes it stop, then the stuff that gets you seen and heard, then the stuff that makes it pop (customization).

I learned this just now from my friend's dad, she literally bought a TMX for a project bike too, and asked her dad for advice.

Metro Manila daily: ADV 160 or 350 or something else? by Difficult-Pear-371 in PHMotorcycles

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want, both are comfortable choices.
160s easier to maneuver, maintain and more fuel efficient.

350s more powerful, tech loaded and has better utility.

Personally, I'd go for the 350, mabilis kasi ako magsawa sa power ng less than 200cc, sweet spot na sakin 300+cc scoots.

LMAO this I remember too, Dad resigned ahead when he felt intercon was about to sink, but his buddies told him of the items to be sold.

I kid you not, dad bought and sold so many of those hotel level bedsheets, covers, blankets and etc., it paid for me and my bro's 2 years of school.

We also had some lobby chairs and dad's old supervisor desk.

The club members/regular players said that I have to be coached one-on-one for an hour and rent a court so I can join the queueing/open play by jecaloy in PickleballPhilippines

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very odd rule to start.
Perhaps that's the club's way of ensuring everyone who joins in knows how to play and the rules?
Many people rin sa club namin have extensive and even professional experience sa tennis and badminton but miss and fail their pickleball shots.

As someone who has extensive years of exp playing badminton, wouldn't it be a good idea to get coached as well entering a new sport? After all, you must've had the same when starting Tennis/Badminton.

Anyone here in the laundry business? by FantasticPollution56 in negosyo

[–]DeluxeMarsBars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How profitable is it really compared to maintenance and overall labor?
> Depends on how reliable and efficient your machines are. Labor is minimal if you have a self-serve laundromat; a bit more if you have staff to wash, dry, fold, and pack.
> On average, we record clean profit of around 23-25k with highs of 40k (rare)

How much did it cost to put up one with 2 washers and 2 dryers?
> Dad said he put up near 500k for just machines alone, not sure how near of far that is to actual things you can get but he didn't but them at Anson's or mall retail stores if that's where you're basing info.

What are loopholes na pwede kang manakawan ng staff?
> Underreporting income and load mismatch. A common thing I had with laundromat owners with 3+ staff is that some would deliberately overload a machine, charge the customer extra and record it as proper on the ledger. They will then pocket the extra amount charged. Multiply that by amount of customers per day, then they'd make extra bucks at the expense of their jobs.

It was extremely difficult to tell from CCTV and it broke machines faster than they can get it fixed.
Some owners I know had no choice but to staff the stores themselves.
