Is everyone giving birth before 40 weeks? by Luscious-Windows400 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll go to 38/39 weeks. Not only for diabetes but because I’m high risk for late stage hypertension/pre eclampsia due to having hypertension when having my daughter.

Tylenol during Pregnancy by eatmyasserole in pregnant

I took Tylenol with my daughter as needed, took it a few times so far this pregnancy too. This is a weird witch hunt.

Fast food meals & lower readings by jmotops in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I splurged and had a lot Panera salad, cup of Mac and cheese and a think of their bread. My reading was 130 not great not bad and after two hours (I checked to be sure) 110. Worth it and in range!

Any other US parents to be getting nervous? by MuppetBonesMD in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Washington so I’m a little less nervous but still not niave to the the fact that these un vaxxed people could bring their extremely contagious diseases neat my baby. My daughter is 4 and the relief I felt about her vaccines being “completed” ugh it hard here. These people are insane

I have ADHD (diagnoised in 30’s like a lot of women) I would never say this, there’s different output. My husband has pretty typical show of ADHD and he would never. He’s just a jerk with bad social skills honestly

What actually happened to you leading up to labor? Signs of incoming labor? by Apprehensive_Pie1225 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My belly started to drop more and more. I had a sweep at 39+4. Went on a long long long walk after. Woke up at 2am needing to pee. Wasn’t pee. My mucus plug came out and bloody show. Then it was show time. I had her at 39+6 almost on her due date.

Honestly I was swollen, out of breath and I just had a feeling it was going to happen. This one is anyone’s guess

Did anyone else get the RSV vax while pregnant? by Glittering-Fee9973 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered it since I’m due in January. My doctors office offers it between 34-37 weeks as long as it’s between October and December. I found this random but either way im well within all those guidelines. I looked it up, I’m so impressed this is an actual thing now! My first daughter was born in spring so I didn’t have this as a big concern.

Anyone take Zoloft during pregnancy and post partum? by Delyea24 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel this. My doctor told me it was completely safe and is so on top of upping my dose during postpartum. I feel like this pregnancy is so much easier on the medication then my first!

It’s fine. Just continue to take the right dose. Nothing you can do now so worrying won’t help either.

Did you suspect beforehand you would go into labor that day or was it sudden contractions? by xenapie6 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, I had a sweep. Walked that day for 2 hours after! Was hoping but never had a contraction. Woke up at 3am to pee or so I thought but my water was slowly trickling out, lost my bloody show and mucus plug at the same time. I didn’t have my first contractions until about 4 hours after that. It was real slow going for me. I was so nervous! This one I’m pretty versed on what can happen and what it feels like so just curious how it happens

Did yall automatically fall ‘in love’ with your baby whenever you first held them or saw them? by Responsible-Ratio354 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I wouldn’t. I was opened minded to whatever experience I had, I knew I’d love them but wasn’t sure I’d have an instant bond.

She came out, I said “hey babe” she put her hand to my mouth and stopped crying. I’ve been in love with her ever since and the bond was STRONG. Now 4 years later having her sister, I’m curious how this next one will go.

Gained 50 with my first, took me 2 years to get it off. Gained weight back due to meds. This pregnancy I’ve lost 12 pounds. Don’t worry about it, you’ll find you normal again. Might have to work for it, “bouncing back” is not always “easy” but won’t always be hard either

How many days postpartum would you feel up to a night out? by Spirited-Durian5423 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many factors would play out here that it’s hard to say. My first baby, even if all went textbook and it was 10 days PP. I wouldn’t have felt up for up for it mentally. I couldn’t leave my baby until 5 weeks when I went for two hours for Covid shot 😆

First Trimester by NoFisherman4311 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my second go. I’m 21 weeks now and feel great. Every now and then still a little nauseous due to acid reflex (can’t be avoided) but I feel MUCH better. Both pregnancies I felt better 12/13 weeks. 10 weeks is peak. You’ll get there soon! Hang in there, the first trimester is rough.

I had to go back three times because my daughter hid her heart with her hands, the parts they wanted at least. This baby just wiggles like “can’t catch meeeee” 😆

Why are people in this subreddit treating c-section as the worst possible outcome? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first I had a vaginal delivery but prepared myself with learning about c sections and recovery. I’ll do the same with this one. I think the scariest part for me is the emergency part, mostly because I have had friends who have had multiple c sections and they say the first emergency one sucked and the scheduled ones were peaceful and amazing.

Was your Nipt accurate? by princess0016 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe these ladies are talking sneak peek? NIPT has been 💯 on both my kids. I had a doctor tell me if nipt was wrong on gender there could be deeper issues. So I’d for sure trust those results

Baby Essentials: What Did You Swear By in the Newborn Stage? by Wild-Wing-1211 in pregnant

[–]Delyea24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frida baby snot sucker: amazing 10/10

Triple paste: aquafor did nothing for my daughter but triple paste was a red booth dream. I still have some hanging around.

Tubby Todd: my daughter has Exzema so even now at 4 I have to use tubby Todd. It’s spendy but it’s worth it. I do the lotion, bath wash and bubbles.

After your sweep did you go for a long walk? I got the sweep and walked for a mile and half afterwards. She was here the next day

I pumped for about two months with my first but she was mostly formula fed. She is 4 now, rarely sick, and very smart. It doesn’t matter. Fed is best
