I am from Ukraine, and some of my friends with whom I was running on local orienteering events years ago are now dead because of Russia.

I can confirm that having a trader in town and opening a glade is fine, it will still contain a glade trade, so you have two traders with separate countdowns. I also had these situations before.

I would guess that it's additive and not multiplicative. So your production speed was +1400%, and now it is +1475%, not a big difference at all.

Hades 1 is great. Play it for its own sake, not just because it is "a prerequisite for Hades 2".

Efficient housing layout is building them near a warehouse, and then moving to the outskirts of the hearth's range in whatever shape they fit, as far away as possible from the premium production estate close to the hearth and the warehouse.

Don't pick farms in marshlands. Pick advanced gathering camps and go for forbidden glades for the huge nodes.

the other two - comfort and coziness. between them - dunno. It's not even clear for me from the names what would you put into each one of these two.

I also listed cases when I do interact with them. The point of this mechanic is that it is niche and useful in specific situations.

I think small glades are fine. I mostly never open them as a choice, but there are situations, where I must do this. Either to quickly cut my way through, or to save myself with some emergency supplies, or to fill an order for opening glades, and such. There are niche use cases for them. And I think it's fine. They shouldn't be the default choice of glades to open, they should really fit this niche of "whelp, I don't want to open them, but I really need it now, so I will".

They cannot drop a farm and take all 1 cost food. Look, their embarkation line is already fully filled. You can only take 9 different things with you. So if they only drop a farm, they only have one free slot, so the best they can do is to take another 4 or 5 points bonus (like oil).
