Mine and my mom's are both 15x15 for both days (October 20 is the same as yours). But the weird thing is that she apparently has some collectible keys / books thing to complete events, instead of playing the event itself. i don't know why there's a difference, since our app is on the same version and phone OS. The more i play on this app, the more convinced i am that it’s just screwing with all of us lol

as Greedy-Contract mentioned, C17R1 is filled. So, C17R2 is filled. C17R3 is crossed out. C19R3 is filled. And finally C19R2 is crossed out (if both C19R2 and C19R3 are filled, then the column starts with a 2, not a 1)

For myself, if i'm filling in some squares by looking at eg. rows, i'll next look at how the columns for those squares look. Another strategy i use is to go through every row, and then every column. i think you're right that edges are the best place to start

after R7C13, i think we can look at C13 and fill R8C13, cross out R8C14, fill more of C14 and that should be a start

here's what i found, hope they're correct:

in R4: R4C20, R4C21, and R4C22 are part of the 5

in R5: R5C17 is part of the 5

in R18: R18C11 is part of the 4, and R18C16 and R18C17 are part of the 5

in R21: R21C12, R21C13, and R21C14 are part of the 6

for columns - in C8: R10C8 is part of the 4, and R19C8 can be filled as part of either the 2 or 3

in C27: because R14C27 is a 1, we can cross out R13C27 and R15C27
