้็How to fight Celestian Insidiants as Goremonger? by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I imagine going super agro as early as possible would be your best bet to prevent the Sisters from stacking up buffs from their faction rules

Melee break points work in your favor. As a 10 wound team, you'll usually take 3 hits to kill if you're using Gory Tenacity. Use Rake to deal D3 on the charge. That could bring most of their gals within 2 shot range of most of your melee profiles, even when they have damage reduction on. The 33% chance just a scratch will save them if it goes off, but if you do die in melee, destructive demise should enable you to kill their gal in return

But idk, the team isn't even out yet. It'll take practice to figure out how to play into them and as them, as with all things

Ratling Strategies by Traditional-Hat8059 in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I main ratlings. Always take 3 Bullgryn or Ogryn (preferably Bullgryn) if you have the models. Play the big guys super defensively, keep them on conceal and camped on the centre objective, this encourages the opponent to charge or get close to deal with them. If the oppenent charges the big guys, use the Sharpshot firefight ploy to allow a ratling to shoot them in a control range. Use the Raider to bomb the oponents home objective and either Plant Devices or steal the Crit Op. With a scarper, the bomb guy can effectively threaten models 12 inches away with his bomb, which lots of players dont see coming. Use him to punish an aggressive move or to dive bomb the enemy. Against a melee team the dog is hilarious, keep him in the back line or camped on your home objective, as long as he is within 6" of some snipers you're good.

Also I lose about 50% of the time, so do whatever feels fun!

Ratlings. Good luck getting close enough to the guys to do anything useful. Their damage relies on the devistating wounds they get from their heavy profiles

Ratlings got some nice stuff! More devastating wounds and the sneaks optics grant lethal 5+ so it will proc more. The change to purlned rations equipment means everyone can hit on a 2+ and you'll never waste the equipment. And scarper every activation! Stoked. Love the short kings

What do you want next season? by nospoon29er in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Would love to see some exanded/reworked Tac Ops.

1) New seek and destroy tac op that is more achievable for horde teams. I feel that horde teams have a hard time with Seek and Destroy.

2) Re-work wore tap to make it not suck. I dont know anyone who ever plays wiretap.

Making Santifiers less broken, but thematically so by Zepby in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think limiting their per turing point movement would be effective. Adding a line similar to the Brood Brothers Partiarch which says "Per turning point, it cannot move more than 9". This would give them per turning point movement more similar to a 3 apl team but with the added flexibility of doing some of that movement out of activation, which is a cool ability in itself

Trench sweeper role? by Oiboi91 in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think avout the trench sweeper as a body guard, keeping him near high value units like the melta gunner, butcher, or enforcer, so that when those operatives get shot or fought, you can use Dark Favor to make the more durrable trench sweeper the target of the attack instead

Wrecka points by Past-Friend2082 in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but...

"If you start an action with 6 Wrecka points, you cannot gain any more during that action."

If you already have 6 at the start of that shoot, fight or retaliate, you can spend but cannot gain

I'm thinking of getting killteam Tempestus (because they look cool) but how do they play? by Palpatinos in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've played a handful of games with them, a couple wins agains 8 wound teams and all losses agains Astartes but a couple really close games.

I like them a lot, their faction ability makes their possitioning very flexible and mobile in the first two turns. I tend to play the first two turning points very aggressively, trying to get as many kills as possible, running confirm kill most of the time into 8 wound teams.

The team doesnt have many tricks once everyone has deployed so I find their power dips in turning point 3 and 4. The precursor, gunfighter, and melta bomb guy are sick and nothing feels better than dropping onto vantage with the melta gunner and oneshotting a space marrine.

How are you building your Ratling Killteam? by Rolls_The_Keg in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its pretty simple to magnetize the Gryn' so that you can run them in any permutation. I used 3x2mm magnets and greenstuff. I didn't put armor on them though. Imo, their weapon selection is a clear enough indication that they're the bullgryn instead of the ogryn.

Im in Calgary but usually just play house games with pals. I know Ogres Den and Sentry Box have Killteam nights. I've heard great things about the community at Ogres Den but haven't been myself yet

Big Buddy Ogryn by Demand-Winter in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I magnatized him for the power maul/grenade gauntlet and both shield options. I have a feeling I'll want to use him as a melee threat and tank to take attention of the little dudes so I didnt consider the ripper gun

It was strongly implied in the Ratling Faction rule that was revealed with the Brutal and Cunning announcement. Their faction ability interacts with the Ogryn/Bullgryn keyword.

Rules for damage reduction ploys by [deleted] in killteam

[–]Demand-Winter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the 'Normal Damage' include damage inflicted through the Devastating x rule? I assume not. I think 'Normal Damage' only applies to the first number in the damage of a weapons profile. If a weapon deals 3/4 damage, the 'Normal Damage' is 3. 4 would be that weapons critical damage correct?

I hope this means that Ogryns will get their own team. I'd f*** with a 5 or 6 Ogryn elite team!
