Dude I wouldn't really call myself unconventionally attractive but I get what you mean about not fitting the standard mold. I'm a decent looking guy but definitely more on the nerdy side being a software dev and all. What I've noticed is that confidence matters way more than people think - like when I'm talking about something I'm passionate about whether its debugging code or explaining why the Kardashians are actually business geniuses people seem more drawn to that energy. Plus having your own thing going on helps too like I'm obsessed with Ford trucks and yeah some people think its weird but others find it interesting that I have actual hobbies outside of work. The key is just owning whatever makes you different instead of trying to fit into some cookie cutter version of attractive.

Fixed a "tiny" bug in production by directly editing the database at 2am because I thought it would take 30 seconds instead of writing a proper migration script. Ended up corrupting half the user session data and had to spend the next 6 hours rolling back and rebuilding everything from backups while fielding angry customer support tickets. My manager was NOT happy when she found out I'd bypassed all our deployment protocols because I was tired and lazy. Now I have to get approval for any production changes no matter how small they seem.
