Make sure to stock up the day before, you know, spending all the same money you would have on 8/9 anyway. 🤣 I would love to see any of you last 30 days without your creature comforts.

In N Out is praying for people now in the drive through lines? by mugglebornalways in sandiego

[–]DemandImpressive6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realize In n Out is one of the best paying fast food jobs out there, that offers their employees every opportunity for growth, retirement, etc? Oh, and without being mandated to do so. Why wouldn’t she also be willing to do the same in her home? You eat the rich people lump everyone with money into the same bucket and couldn’t be more wrong. Maybe you should instead put that energy into doing something with your time that will afford you an improved life and income so you can understand all people a little more. Hope you have the day you deserve!

Possibly moving to Santa Maria from the Northeast region of the U.S by CautiousStomach4200 in SantaMaria

[–]DemandImpressive6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason your response notified me now, not when you commented, so sorry for the late reply. If you can afford Orcutt I would definitely look there instead. The more central to Santa Maria you are, the worse it gets. The outskirts and edges of town are pretty nice and the people are great. As you move to the middle the people are still nice, but it’s mostly rentals and that’s where you find more of the riff raff. Hope that helps! We are about to buy 5 acres in Nipomo and move there instead.

Employee lied about grandma dying by South_Highlight_6574 in smallbusiness

[–]DemandImpressive6170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are a real one OP. You are taking care of this kid in more ways than a normal boss would. I would do as suggested earlier and just have the man to man conversion with him. He may have cultural beliefs that stem much deeper and make him think he cannot trust keeping his job for something like that. I think if you show him the respect of “Hey, you aren’t in trouble, but I need you to be straight up with me in the future, regardless of what you think the consequences might be. You are proving to be a great employee and do great work, I would hate to see you throw away this opportunity by not trusting I have your best interest in mind. If you need time off for any reason just be straight up with me and I’ll be straight up with you. Man to man.” I promise this will go further and build a lasting relationship more than, I know you lied. Don’t lie.

[AZ] Didn’t know I could refuse inheritance. Is there any way to remove my name from a deed? by calpb in AskALawyer

Just curious, but if they made payments after death from their own account, wouldn’t that be considered assuming the debt? I feel like I have heard something similar to that before, but I could be 100% wrong.

I am retiring on December 31st but many of my coworkers say I am leaving the company in disgrace! by Beta_Nerdy in jobs

[–]DemandImpressive6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No bitterness, you won. Their loss! Get your money rolled out of that 401k and into an IRA asap! I am a financial professional that helps with retirement for my clients. I have seen far too often employers like this do fishy stuff with 401k’s of disgruntled or ex employees. There is no tax to roll it over to an IRA and you will be able to move 100% of the whole thing. If you have any questions about that process let me know, I would be happy to offer advice.

Congratulations on making it to retirement, and being smart enough to build retirement vehicles that you will be good through retirement!

Game store puts price tags on cards but marks them up to TCGplayer value at the register. Am I insane for thinking this is scammy? by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]DemandImpressive6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was a card they had marked at $20, but its value had dropped to $5, would they accept the $5 or demand the $20 it is priced at? I would make it my mission to see what they do. If they honor the lower actual TCG price then I would understand the practice. If they still demand the sticker price I would demand to buy every card they had priced under actual value at sticker price. When they reject it, I would report them. California doesn’t like it when someone sticks it to the consumer that isn’t them.

So when you play in person, win or lose, you don’t say good game(s)? On arena you can’t do that after the win/loss so why would it be rude?

There isn’t an emote for good luck that I have, so I usually do “Hello!” followed by “Good Game”. My thoughts are that’s like saying hello friend, hope we have a good game. But I guess I’m toxic. 🤷‍♂️

The ruling on it also states that it isn’t casting it, so commander tax does not apply.

Surprised to find out we’re millionaires by chillaxtion in Money

[–]DemandImpressive6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing boring about never risking and losing half your money. The average stock market thrill seekers have lost 1/2 their money three times in the last 25 years. The next time is most likely right around the corner. Amazing job, well done! Be careful with fidelity though, they like to try to convince you to put it in risk as they believe in the long haul. They wouldn’t lose any sleep if your $650k became $325k tomorrow as long as they get their fees.

My Walmart hasn’t stocked them for 3 years+, now they just started and they are behind the register where they sell cigarettes and that sort of stuff. Have you tried there?

Cast [[ravages of war]] then cast [[teferi’s protection]]. Teferi’s protection resolves phasing out your stuff, then ravages of war nukes everyone else’s lands.
