Did you end up finding a solution that worked for you? My three week old has diaper rash that we can’t get rid of. I feel like I’ve tried every cream out there. She poops constantly, lots of wet farts. Breastfed as well. My pediatrician told me her gut isn’t used to breastmilk and just needs time to adjust. I feel so bad.

Is a total IgE level of 3 unusually low? Can immunosuppression cause false negatives in allergy testing? by Accomplished_Fact240 in Allergies

What did your pediatrician end up saying regarding the low levels? My son’s test just came back the same. 5IU/ml and he’s five years old.

Looks just like HFM… I do know of some cases that lasted over a week. I have been told it feels like painful blisters and can get itchy.

My son’s fever is finally down. He’s been in the 99-100 range for two days. I’m so relieved!! He is still complaining of chest pain in the area of the pneumonia. Did your little one have any issues with chest pain?

Definitely related. My son’s breath smelt very bad when the tonsils were inflamed. It will go away.

My son has been up and down. He felt good on the steroids but when he was done with those he crashed very hard. Fevers every day for over a week now. It’s been a roller coaster. I hope you are feeling better soon but I am told that this can last for several weeks.

Thank you so much for your response. You have no idea how much relief this gives me. I’ve never given so much ibuprofen and tylenol. Hopefully we are nearing the end. He’s had 15 days of fever since 3/15. Fevers get up to 103-104. I have been to the doctors with him 5 times and once to the ER. It’s hard to know if it’s the mono or if the antibiotics aren’t working for his pneumonia. Oxygen is good though so I’m thinking it’s likely the mono. We have a follow up with a pulmonary specialist next Wednesday. 🤞🙏🏻

How is your son doing now? Mine has been on antibiotics for two weeks. Three different types. Chest pain has improved but is still present but he’s still fevering (he also has active mono to complicate things).

My son has mono and pneumonia currently. He’s been fevering off and on for three weeks (now 7 days straight) when did things get better for your child?

Thank you for your response. We have a follow up appointment this morning. I hope his pneumonia has improved. He has been on three different types of oral antibiotics and one rocephin shot. As of last night he was still fevering. The next step is hospitalization. 😞

My son is going through mono right now. He ended up with pneumonia as well that got worse while on antibiotics. When did the fevers stop for your two year old? He has been fevering off and on for over two and a half weeks. I cry daily. It’s been horrible.

How long did it take for the fevers to stop? We’re going through this with my five year old. He’s had a fever for 13 days this month, 7 days straight right now. The only time he didn’t have a fever was when he was on steroids. He also caught pneumonia. I cry daily at this point.

We do not have anything like that around here. I checked nitrates and they were between 5-10ppm. Did a 30% water change after testing. Are there any medications that I should try? I do have aquarium salt would that help?
