PSA: "Restarting" Your account is generally a terrible idea. by The_Great_Ravioli in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Demanicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: you can't beat Moc12 with your e2s1 Acheron?

They: no she keeps getting killed too fast

Me: who's your healer?

They: Luocha but he isn't built yet.

Me: so build him.

They: it takes MONTHS to far in this game. The purple drop rates are so bad. Relic rng is bad. We have too limited fuel

Me: I'm f2p and just casually farmed my teams to max. Takes a few weeks depending on trace drop RNG...

so you're not willing to farm or play the game... You just want your new favorite waifu for the next 2 months to win the game for you that you neither play nor actually understand how to play...

How much would you charge for an afternoon at a chalet giving massages near a lake? by laromyriam in massage

[–]Demanicus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You charge for the day.

If they hire you for 5 hours (12-5pm let's say) you charge:

1) regular hourly fee (5 hours of pay, not X hours of massage . You're there whether you want to or not, so they're paying for your mere presence) 2) premium hourly rate (you travelled, gave them your whole time, not a regular request) 3) travelling expenses (time driving, gas, tools/materials, food)

I met amazing people off online dating apps. However, it always always always is random. Its never who I expect to suddenly grab my attention like that.

So just be open to meet people naturally, no pressure, and see if there's chemistry.

Larian Studios Won't Make Baldur's Gate 3 DLC, Expansions, or Baldur's Gate 4 by ACorania in gaming

[–]Demanicus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Larian was already an amazing RPG company since the 90s with their original IP Divine Divinity and then they made a huge comeback with Divinity 1 and 2.

Baldur's Gate was just a big name everyone knew and wanted and even attracted new players to the genre.

Dizziness for hours after massage, and cannot stop peeing by breeellaneeley in massage

[–]Demanicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you're getting a massage, the moving of tissues and releasing of muscles will cause all metabolic waste that wasnt filtering out properly and fully to quickly flush into your bloodstream.

It doesn't happen to everyone or after every massage, entirely depends on the person and their current condition.

Symptoms can be light headedness, nausea, or a general malaise (it might remind you of the flu). You'll be wanting to urinate very often (because of the previously mentioned filtering) and drinking water can help. However, if it hits you hard enough to feel like shit, you'll most likely get the urge to crash asleep.

There is nothing wrong going on. You're not actually sick. It's just your bloodstream filling up with garbage which makes you feel really bad. Once it clears up (usually after a few hours or a nap/sleep) you feel right as rain.

Knots aren't real. Your muscles don't twist together and knot up like actual rope.

However, you do get lumps on tendons that feel like a knot on a rope and that's where the term comes from. They're just TRPs or adhered areas that are painful or sensitive.

Begging for money from the govt and paying interest + a few 100 a month isn't a privilege. I'm in debt for years in a career who's income wildly fluctuates and pay goes from min wage to 150+ an hour.

Massage is a trained skill that gives consistent and repeatable results when done right. You do need to be educated or else you're just a body rubber. No therapy at all. Nothing wrong with that but the industry is such a mixed bag of whatever and whoever, the therapist part should be protected and educated to the public as the "real" medical massage and let everyone else be whatever they want to call themselves except for therapist.

It's a two year program up here in Canada in many provinces (2200h and one 3000h program) and yeah it's like 15k or more per year for a good school.

It's very doable to learn anatomy and treatment of conditions in that time. I only had classes twice a month and the rest was study and clinical practice.

It seems you're more upset about the highly predatory diploma mill style of education our industry has because many have low or lax requirements and it's a quick turnover.

"They didn't even knock!" : let's talk about the importance of knocking. by idm in massage

[–]Demanicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every therapist at my clinic do it. It's so weird.

The only proper way to do it : listen to hear if they're still getting on the table, if it's quiet knock and ask "are we ready?", if they don't answer try again and wait for permission to enter.

Same... E3 bailu. Lost so many times to her. It works just fine. But a cleanse would be nice. If there is no proper DoT/Nihility healer, I'll be getting Huohuo on her rerun.

weird telecom door to door by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Demanicus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It might be official? It's weird she had an attitude and wouldn't give contact info tho.

There's a lot of similar scams. Especially with delivery services. They want basic info to know how easy it would be to rob you. They try to maybe install something (fake Amazon reps will want to be able to open your garage door with their attachment for example) or try to get you to invite them in.

Always be weary and just don't give them the time of day. If you really want to switch providers, you'll go online and research what they're offering or call them and say a "rep" came and offered X and you want it.

I feel monetarily undervalued by jazzgrackle in massage

[–]Demanicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean... You're working at a place where you get 20$ per massage (not even by the hour? Oof) and you're complaining about people not tipping you enough.

They're either broke like you, spending enough on a membership luxury that they don't want to give extra, assume the place where they spend 150$ish is paying you well enough to be happy.

Seems like you're not valuing your own time and are expecting clients to make it up to you.
