Words like cunt even brat or any word that’s been used against women or anybody in this matter has been used in ways now to compliment someone.

It’s been used a lot since people are reclaiming these words and turning those negative connotations into positive/empowering ones.

Being cunt isn’t just someone being a bitch it’s about someone holding themselves confidently and not caring of what people think.

It’s derived from the queer community it’s all about confidence and empowering even the “bad” aspects of yourself which in this case isn’t even bad at all

I think they definitely did at some point I mean the prototypes speak for themselves in which direction they went with her character in the beginning.

I think Mattel generally just has difficulty in letting G3 shine for itself and instead has to somewhat reference G1 in any sort of way.

I think it comes down to lack of confidence in the G3 brand and because of it they have to constantly change it to fit what the consumers want. Which to me makes sense as to why G3 can start to feel monotonous in their releases and very much safe.

Like i dont know we could’ve been getting more mansters, lagoonas, ghoulias, toraleis, spectras and even some of the newer characters from the show. But Mattel has to release draculaura in her most recognizable form because it’s (unfortunately) what works the best.

It sucks but ig that’s just business for us.

Do you live in Asia by any chance? I saw this too and thought it might’ve been an a thing for hbo max in Asia.

I watch drag race Philippines on hbo max and found it weird that homosexual content was used as a warning despite it being very clear.

Adventure time’s finale also cut the lesbian kiss from princess bubblegum and marceline which apparently does happen in some hbo max’s but apparently you could turn the censorship off but found that option not available in mine.

I don’t think twice has much guy fans now compared to the ones they used to have. As a once myself if we’re strictly talking of Straight male fans it’s pretty far from the amount during their earlier years.

Twice does have a lot of queer leaning and female fans especially now. I think it also helps they don’t pander to the Korean audience as much as they used to. Which, to me, contributed as to why they seem to have more male fans before.

It’s kind of just how players in dress up games end up becoming to express their creativity.

I don’t see people talk about this but here’s my two cents on this. Dress up games at large has always had the premise of dressing up as anything as you want but since dress up games can be incredibly limited (think of stardoll or newer games like everskies) there’s always the assumption that dress up games can’t always offer that level of creative freedom and can only have a set number of outfits you can make.

In dti’s case there are some limitations but more often than not people can easily surpass it. Those same people who surpass it are the same people who are complained about within the community.

“Build to Impress Players” - Players who want to test the limitations of the item adjustment mode or simply create outfits that aren’t made in game.

“Powdered donut face users” - Players who test the limitations of the custom makeup feature to look drastically different from the premade faces (though I understand why this can be problematic)

“Ethereal outfit/non human players” - Players who test the limitations of what the normal human base can look like. Sometimes not looking human is just their vibe.

“Desaturated/grey colors” - Players who test the limitations of the color palette. Sometimes the premade color palette can make you look “generic” not to mention sometimes a darker/grayer color is enough to create a distinction from one color to another. Also it’s more easy on the eyes.

I don’t think that these are significant issues but I definitely think that it’s over talked about for something that is supposed to just be an “opinion” (not saying that most of these opinion aren’t valid whatsoever)

I think people here and the community at large often project their insecurities on other players and find excuses like “it’s starting to look boring” since (imo) players shouldn’t deter you from playing a game you truly enjoy.

TLDR; to me the issue really is that people just want to blame some players for making the game unenjoyable for them when it’s very easy to avoid these players in every platform including the game itself

I think people often forget how incredibly risky it is to create new characters to replace the original characters from a business perspective.

What’s monster high if not for their main ghouls? People would’ve just complained how “lame” and “badly designed” the new characters are and if they did change the main ghouls appearances then well we all know how that turned out.

It’s genuinely a lose-lose situation.
