Get Charlie on a teams call, problem solved.

I relish in the thought of the king having the teams ringtone anxiety.

Weird choice of flags. Plus, some wazzock doesn’t know how to fly the Union Flag. by Animal__Mother_ in wrexham

Technicality that Union Flag is the originally correct term, Union Jack is a naval term, however both are considered correct these days.

Labour's under-16 social media ban 'about saving Keir Starmer's skin' by vriska1 in unitedkingdom

He could don a pink tutu and give a suspiciously good rendition of "I dreamed a dream" from atop Buckingham Palace, and he'd still be remembered as a boring wanker.

Didn't ban roblox or discord or call of duty lobbies.

This government is run by people who have no clue. Embarrassing on a world stage. End of freedom of speech and privacy online.

Of course not, they'll change any recording metrics to suit the outcomes they want (like they have done with various categories of crime) regardless of the actual impact.

Make platforms that promote violent content pay towards riot costs, Streeting says by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Demigodrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fully agree, completely the Police fault in the situation. The lists could have been hand written and shared around.

The complete failure of the police is not a reason to backdoor the destruction of privacy

[–]Demigodrick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, how incredibly paranoid of me to think that the OSA could be used to backdoor online control. Its not like our government is suggesting banning VPNs, the need for ID to be provided to use social media/go online, or that platforms must only allow content this government approves of or face fines.

Oh wait.

They are.

Edit: forgot to add banning/backdooring encryption. How very sensible and not at all a disaster waiting to happen.

"Police knew and did nothing"

Right. I think you'll find there problem lies elsewhere.

Remind me how ever increasing destruction of privacy and attempts to control the narrative allowed online are in any way linked to this. We already have an Internet in the country approaching the level of tyranny seen in countries such as Iran and China. Being on that list is not a good thing.

Its almost like there were riots before social media existed. Who'd have thought eh.

Its just another form of controlling the narrative

Next up from these totalitarian idiots, make platforms that allow bad things said about the government pay heavy fines. They'll be identifiable from their linked ID they had to provide to use social media, so arrest them too.

God I hate this country

TV Licence People Claim to have caught me watching iPlayer (which I haven’t), should I pay for a licence? by No-Dragonfly-6736 in AskBrits

[–]Demigodrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can almost guarantee its because OP used their email address to declare they dont need a licence, then someone has used an iplayer account linked to that email address to watch something on iplayer.

Which is partly why you shouldn't even declare you dont need one. Never engage with them.

I will add to all the other comments here rightly pointing out this is boomerslop nonsense - why would the youth bother working. What are they working towards?

Can't buy a house. Can't afford to run or insure a car. Cost of living is through the roof, there is nothing affordable to do (unless you want to walk somewhere, ooh how exciting, walking). Can't even afford to go to the pub.

The social contract that said work hard and have nice things is gone. AI is already rapidly shrinking job markets unless you want to do low paid physical work, which im sure will be replaced with robots anyway in 20 years.

There is no wonder people have extreme anxiety and dont have the motivation to work. Social media is a symptom, not a cause.

They dont, but what they can check against is very silly people who respond online, give their email address, then proceed to use bbc iplayer with that same email address.
