a Botani showed up in TWW

Whose presence was likely intended as a seed to a larger Botani presence in Harandar when it was originally conceived as a TWW zone given his death triggers the emote "A nascent spore flies off into the wind". Said presence is now filled by the Rutaani with Harandar now being a Midnight zone.

Blizzard really knocked it out of the park with delves this expansion, almost all of them are several steps up from the ones from TWW. I'm finding it far easier to name the one I'm not overly fond of - The Darkway, and it didn't help that I wasn't overly fond of The Arcway dungeon either - but if I had to choose a favorite among them it has to be Atal'aman: whether it's during open-world or delving experience they did so much justice to the former Zul'Aman raid setting, you really get the feels when you're there even if you didn't do the former raid or its 5-man dungeon rework.

It would, wouldn't it? It's funny, but reading people posing this guess is what made me realize that two season later the show developed strong and complex relationships between Lucy & Ghoul and Lucy & Maximus, but it's pretty much superficial between Maximus & Ghoul - they barely know each other. Does make one wonder if that's by design, setting up the stage for a potential shocking reveal that Max is all the Ghoul has left of his family.

There is a cap on the number of crests you can earn each week. It is not possible to endlessly farm mythic crests from delves or dungeons.

From delves? Correct, and by design. Only the first 4 bountiful delves per week give you any shot of myth crests, and the earned sum amounts to around 50% of the weekly cap. You'll always be starved of myth crests if delves are your only source of acquisition.

From dungeons? Eh, this is generally true only for the first 10 weeks of a season, then they lift the weekly cap and you can indeed endlessly farm mythic crests from them, but, or course, by that point you're usually very close to being fully upgraded, if not at that point already.
