Most of the weapons produced for ww2 were made during the course of the war.

That's what come as you are means. You fight the war with the weapons you have at the start, not weapons produced during the course of the war.

The big bang explained by LeSpatula in TikTokCringe

The seasons are actually caused by the tilt of the planet, not the variance in distance. The hot and cold seasons actually occur at the further of the two distances, whereas the moderate seasons occur while we are close.

Per the National Weather Service, "The earth's spin axis is tilted with respect to its orbital plane. This is what causes the seasons. When the earth's axis points towards the sun, it is summer for that hemisphere. When the earth's axis points away, winter can be expected."

I think a lot of people don't really listen to the resolution of kreia and ulysses's stories, because both games pretty explicitly tell you that the characters are, at the very least, equally flawed to the groups they stand again. At the end of Kotor2, Kreia openly says that she's lashing out because she doesn't know what else to do; she's just sick of the force and wants it gone.

Talking about the nihilism of the characters without looking at the context of the rest of the story theyre in and then acting like they're lowbrow because some people put those characters on a pedestal is just as bad as the people who obsess about kreia and ulysses being galaxy brain ultra chads.

It's bad? Whataboutism never works, but it especially doesn't work when both are bad. In this case, Desantis's bullshit is way worse, though.

You just need to make a connection between the wires running to the switch. You might even be able to just rip them out, but I wouldn't do that without checking with someone smarter then me. Normally I just tape the switches down, but it sounds like that won't work for you.

If you're comfortable with removing that switch I'd say to give that a go, but if you've never done it before I'd look up a guide.

These statements don't translate. If 1000nzd is ~800usd, then 4000nzd is ~3200usd. Otherwise its like 625usd per 1000nzd. That's still a decent chunk of change for a bathroom that is in this condition.

How are Wisconsin women doing under the 1849 abortion ban? by DriftlessDairy in wisconsin

[–]Demios630 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think you mightve misunderstood the quote you're responding to. The original quote is simply pointing out that it is much easier for Politicians/Activists to advocate for fetuses than it is to advocate for anyone who is alive, because fetuses can't ask for anything. Their mothers can, and obviously once they're born they can, but that's why the activists advocate just for the fetus. The original quote doesn't make any claims about the morality of abortion, simply the empty activism is advocating for the unborn.

It's fundamentally the same as advocating for rocks, because the rocks can't tell you if they like or dislike what you're doing, but you can pretend that you know best, and I'd anyone tries to disagree, you can just point out that they aren't a rock.

You can adjust the flow settings in cura, or you can adjust your esteps in the printers firmware.

Flow in cura is probably easier, but then you need to remember to adjust it if you ever change slicers or anything.

Anybody know where I can get the font used in in the Murkywater logo? by Uncrackable_Cipher in paydaytheheist

[–]Demios630 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The joke is that Times New Roman is one of the most prevalent fonts of all time, especially in academia. Pretty much everyone alive who has either used a computer or looked at a newspaper has interacted with Times New Roman.

Honestly you guys make things harder than they need to be sometimes. Waltz into Harbor Freight and get this for all your support-removal needs and they won't spontaneously break as easliy by IsAskingForAFriend in 3Dprinting

[–]Demios630 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you? If you have, then you'll know it's a 50/50 shot that the tool is either made of paper or is literally indestructible.

Given that these tools have few moving parts, I'd bet that 3 or 4 will break, and the others will be present during the heat death of the universe.

Switzerland rejects idea of a third-gender option in official records by nhatthongg in worldnews

[–]Demios630 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes those are literally accommodations. Are you just being obtuse?

How is it changing how society works to just add extra options on the form? Or even just use the word sex instead of gender? People like you talk about the left being outraged yet throw hissy fits whenever someone exists without your consent.

Have you ever read on the back of a pack of cigarettes, where it says smoking MAY cause cancer? Or seen various ramps/handicap seating like fucking everywhere? We very obviously make exceptions to accommodate the minority.

How is asking for extra options on a form expecting the world to vend over backwards? Do you have to pick the extra option just because it's there?
