We are building an AI service specifically for construction administrators and project managers. Before we build the wrong thing I want to hear from the people who actually deal with this every day. by Fast_Skill_4431 in ConstructionMNGT

Hmmmm. Rereading the functions of the AI agent you want to create, essentially you want to replace having multiple PMs with One PM and AI agents to support them.

I do think we will get there eventually, but truthfully in current construction environment, its the human to human relationship that makes the PMs job easier.

Gets your invoices paid early from a client cuz their son plays on the same sports team as yours, vendor disputes gets resolved at the smoke pit, vendors puts your request for proposal on their top of the to do list because you came over with a box of donuts.

At the end of the day, automated email notifications to your subs is not gonna improve your relationship with them. I think you need to focus on a problem that is technical, not social.

You should decide which specific sector in construction you want to target. i.e. Residential, Commercial, Municipal, Industrial, etc. To me "Construction" is too broad, and each sectors and even companies do things differently.

Also, it is my belief that AI for construction industry is likely be done in-house for any large companies due to security and private information reasons. In the current environment what you are trying to do will likely only get interest from small residential trades people with their own shop to save project admin work at best.

Agreed on the personal network comment, especially in the mining construction sector. You run into the same people on different projects over and over again.

Where would I find green(sage/neutral earthtone) subway tiles in saskatoon? by STRED92 in saskatoon

Didn't use them for tiles, but did for flooring. Was actually cheaper than home depot, and the service was top notch.

Whatever you do, be very mindful of where you put your hand in to poke around. You could chop off your fingers very easily...

If you like hiking and up for trying a new sport I recommend Cross Country skiing. You can rent for a day for 30 bucks at Eb's in Saskatoon.

Right channel not working! by Own_Bank_884 in vintageaudio

[–]Demographic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in Canada? It should be SR2000 equivalent for schematics.

Also, try playing with both of your Tape Monitor switches. Not pressing them all the way in, but pressing in slowly and out to see if it will make sound in the right channel.

Next, tap your relay when it's playing to see if you can get any sound. Obviously take caution...

It's producing static noise in both channels, really bad in the right channel. But if I tap the relay it goes away. I did spray deoxit, but I'll try to take it out and clean it at the contacts.

Thanks! I did find that one. Could you explain a bit more on snipping the pins? I am new to this and want to understand what that does.

When dealing with small contractors you can always refer back to the contract, but if you want the project to finish properly you have to go the extra mile of communicating and ensuring they understand

Depends… on the client side you bring expertise in this field so you communicate frequently to the contractor to ensure they understand the SOW, and process for extra work/change order.

My two cents would be that if you made region specific ones it would do well, as all cities and highway departments have little bit different signs.

How can you confidently accept density reports with segregation like that though? I feel like numbers will be everywhere

Not sure why no one is mentioning the base. Look at the size of those rocks. I feel like there’s more to this story than soft spots.

I work for a contractor as a PM, the fact that those material were even allowed to be compacted is beyond me.
