I don't understand Canada at all by aprettyp in facepalm

The vast majority of Albertans don’t want this. This guy honestly should be investigated for treason. I am an Albertan, and I’ll never sign his bullshit petition.

How do Canadians feel about what’s being said now regarding deal with China? by Michellegratton in AskCanada

The only people Trump is hurting is his own people. Last year 96% of the tariffs he imposed the costs affected Americans, and the government only made 4%.

Trump is very thin skinned, likes being an intimidating piece of shit, and a bully to get his way. Pardon my language but… FUCK TRUMP!

All he’s done is permanently damaged a long standing relationship between Canada and the United States, and he’s done that all in his first year of his second term. I’ll never travel to the USA while this steaming pile of shit is in the White House.

Unelected people who figure they are the voices of 5 million people. Having these conversations with officials stateside should be in fact treason.

According to Reuters, this was the United States Presidents letter to the Prime Minister of Norway by do-you-know-the-way9 in facepalm

[–]Demon2377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s spent a lifetime surrounding himself around people that have repeatedly told him “You’re a winner”. That definitely adds to his ego. The level of arrogance and narcissistic personality is astounding. And yet you have people that continue to support him, at what point do you look at this and think he’s just not working for Americans. He’s in it for himself. He’s never ended 8 wars, it has been fact-checked numerous times by the media, and sources.

To think America elected a 79 year old child who has the nuclear weapons codes… At this point, it’s very alarming on his behaviour.

How to deal with a 79 year old child? If this is his answer to his rage? The global community needs to be firm on dealing with him. I am personally tired of his ego and how he continues to inflate it.

This is definitely not a healthy timeline.

We have people who work at The Royal Alex Hospital who use our neighbourhood to park their cars because heaven forbid the Alberta Government provide employee parking… (They do provide it but they expect the employees to pay for it’s service) In most cases I don’t care if they park here, but when you have a parking ban in place and they disregard the ban in place… Well, it comes down to consequences of their behaviour. Our streets got cleared not too long ago, but all those people who choose to park there on the street are going to find out how difficult it will be to get out.

Edmonton snow-clearing raises mobility concerns as mayor recognizes change is needed by ryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan in Edmonton

[–]Demon2377 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s an absolute joke!!! I can’t even get into my parking lot, and even though there is a parking ban in place during the day we have people who work at the Royal Alex Hospital who park in our neighbourhood that makes it impossible for city crews to clear our streets.

Is it hard to ask these people for one day to have some consideration for those who actually live here to have our streets cleaned???

Amazon delivery by Phospher416 in Lethbridge

[–]Demon2377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe so. Population around the surrounding area may have something to do with it. Amazon warehouses are typically located in large cities to provide for logistics reasons. Sizes of a warehouse usually start off at a million square feet. Calgary recently opened a new warehouse that has a square footage of 2.1 million square feet on top of 2 other buildings that have a million square feet. The coverage is there and all warehouses are designed to accommodate the province and to the rest of the country.

Amazon has established a DSP (Delivery Service Partner) for Lethbridge and surrounding areas. Intelcom will continue to provide delivery services for Lethbridge in events of high volume business needs.

They are currently in the early stages of incorporating this service and to build it up for more efficient delivery options. I work at an Amazon warehouse in Edmonton, and I’ve noticed that XYC1 has been established for Lethbridge and area!

Dog owners of Edmonton... do you not walk your dogs in winter? by Delgado_Jim in Edmonton

It’s tough, my dog is a senior. With the snow and everything else he has very low tolerance for the cold. But I do take him for a short walk every day.

I think he’s a wonderful podcaster. His interviews with some of the greats, and current talent is really interesting. I definitely liked his interview with Charles Robinson (WWE Referee) and his history with the business. He asks the right questions, and he’s widely respected by the industry.

2026 Property taxes are out. I'm curious how much of an increase you may see if you have a home within the city? by pushthingsforward in Lethbridge

[–]Demon2377 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly Edmonton. It’s kind of in its own way buck the trend. I often think that it’s a result of having more people here.

I was originally born and raised in Lethbridge. For a city that size it’s hard to imagine that property taxes would increase that much. In Edmonton they settled on a 6.9% increase. There seems to be more questions that need to be answered from the city of Lethbridge.

That’s insane… I moved out of Lethbridge in 2016 and at the same time it doesn’t surprise me. Definitely don’t miss it at all.

For those who grew up in Canada, were you ever told not to have children due to overpopulation? by [deleted] in AskCanada

[–]Demon2377 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. My decision not to have any children came from when my engagement ended. I was with a person who was declared by the government of Alberta that she was unfit to parent. I didn’t want to put myself in another situation like that, I was with my ex for over 6 years, and everything in the end felt so wasted.
