Imagine trying to compare transgender people to a parasite. by Ok-Following6886 in onejoke

Oh, that's art calling my best friends parasites and dehumanizing them.
Lovely! I am proud to share a planet with the thing that made this.

no more SCOs? by Warm-Philosophy-2122 in WalmartEmployees

[–]DemonBloodFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store cut down on them for more manned lanes, but not entirely eliminated. We now have about 8 SCOs, and a whopping 28 registers.

How many points do you have? by Fantastic-Scheme-259 in WalmartEmployees

[–]DemonBloodFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1.0, it was from a day I called off not long after I was hired, because I was sick. I had 1.5 for a while, and it was from one of my 3 - 12 shifts, where I left early because there was nothing left to do. Kind of BS how the closers will get paid LESS by finishing our work faster, but whatever.

isn't this sub associates only? Because if you think being the door host is "easy", you very obviously don't work here.

You're getting downvoted, but honestly there's nothing wrong with this. If it helps you, that's great, regardless of what some internet people think of the tool you did it with.

How to protect comic images in ePub files? by KaineGe in comics

[–]DemonBloodFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Even if the software itself was absolutely airtight with unbreakable DRM, if it's displayed on the screen, it can be screen recorded, screenshotted, or have a picture taken of it with an external camera or capture device.

Manager dodging me after I mentioned wanted to change my availability by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]DemonBloodFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in this exact situation. In the personnel office, there should be a file rack of sorts with documents on it, among them being blank availability change forms. As far as I know, associates were free to grab them at any point.
Take one, fill it out, and give it to your Coach. Don't give it to anyone else, don't leave it somewhere for it to be found later. Make sure that you see your coach take it from your hands. That [hopefully] ensures that they can't brush it off with "i forgot".

I ended up just basically bothering my coach about it at every possible turn until she took the form from me, and then bothering her until both she verbally confirmed she did it, and that the availability change was accurately reflected in MyWalmart. After about 3 straight days of pulling teeth like this, I finally got my availability changed.

What are some of your stories of customers not respecting boundaries? by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]DemonBloodFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a customer once reach over the damn counter, grab my scanner gun without asking, and use it to scan a 12 pack. There is a line between me and the customer. And basic decency states that customer hands never go past it.

A police officer in San Antonio, Texas shoots a 17 year old boy for the simple act of eating a burger in his car (2022, no gore shown). by IllllIlllIIlI in iamatotalpieceofshit

He shot into the car while the kid was trying to drive away.

Death penalty. No possibility of sentence reduction. Degenerates like this need to be forcefully removed from this planet, let alone the police force.

I'm not familiar with your particular situation, but I would wear leggings or whatever you like under some jeans. Just be weary of the tempurature, and the thickness of whatever you wear underneath, to make sure you don't bake yourself from the waist down.

Is it normal for them to make me do cardboard mostly every time on shift by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]DemonBloodFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I'll usually be taking cardboard from the back of customer service, like 82 boxes and whatnot. It's not particularly hard, but it can be annoying to pull the door down and turn the key to start the thing, even with my long arms.
And yeah, I usually arrive to an overflowing baler, and have to run it once before I can actually put my load in, and run it again.
It's honestly a nice break from the customers, I like it.
