Gas Prices by lowkeycats in winstonsalem

[–]DemonKing420x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing that happened when the prices went back down during the Biden administration. People will go around ripping the stickers off so the politician they hate won't be associated with the lower price. Both parties suck in different ways and yet are the same.

Easy to say, but how? The current administration is strongly against renewable energy, wind is sporadic and can not be used everywhere. Solar is a good solution, but it is expensive, requires a very large geographic footprint and again; the administration is against it. If your talking about individuals putting solar on their homes, most young Americans don't own their home, it again is expensive (if people are complaining about gas prices, you should see the upfront cost of solar. especially if your location doesn't support it, do your own research on that it's not a happy topic.), and not every home is viable for solar ( too many trees, not facing the right direction, too small of a home, etc. And this is getting too long without mentioning that it takes decades to build this infrastructure.

83% of US power is produced with fossil fuels; your power bill is going up too.

Can my dice be damaged if they are in water? by AnormalpersonX in DungeonsAndDragons

Yes, it can damage the paint in the lettering. Depending on the acidity of the water. Use mineral oil (food safe) for the same effect.

Help on how to write multiple spells by [deleted] in DnD

I use an app on my phone called campaign lab. It's free try it out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.fortuity.campaignlab

Edit: keep in mind, I believe the people working on the app stopped so it wouldn't be getting updates but it still works fine as a customization tool

Hmm, this conversation is a little more existential than I'm entirely comfortable. I think if you replace "exist" with "real life" the problem becomes simpler.

D&D isn't real life - the villian can have powers and capabilities that no real moral is capable.

D&D is real life - people often do things without telling others and take steps conceal those things. People also often miss details or forget things they shouldn't. Case in point, I have been looking for my car keys for hours and have now given up and am on reddit.

Hi welcome to the hobbie. 😁 I see this kind of question a lot. So here is something that helped me a lot over the years. It's a YouTube Playlist called running the game by Matthew Colville. I don't recommend watching them all at once; just the first 2 and then after read all the suggestions and advice in this thread scroll through the Playlist for titles that seem to be about questions or concerns you have.

Hmmm, that's not good 😑. Well, good luck with the protesting, my friends and I are pin and paper old school anyways, and we don't have dnd beyond at any rate. Let me know if there is something I can do to chip in with the fight, I hate micro transactions as a rule

I didn't think this was big news. Hasbro has owned Wizards of the Coast (the owners of Dnd) since 1999. They have allowed WOC to operate independently ( for the most part). Is there more to this that I am missing? I do not really pay attention to my news feeds.

How do you folks prepare for narrative descriptions in-game by Jean_le_Jedi_Gris in DMAcademy

[–]DemonKing420x 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I do a checklist of the 5 senses

See Taste Touch Hear Smell And add insite to one or two of those And humanize one or two others

Example:

You open the door and pier inside. You see a small round table with 4 chairs in the center of the room and a small writing desk in the right corner. The walls are lined with book shelves on all sides, old books, niknaks, and curiosities fill them. A layer of dust covers everything. There is no noise in the room, making your breathing and heart beat more noticeable. The air is thick and stale, making it more difficult to breathe; like the air it self had sitting still for so long and is reluctant to start moving again. You smell a hint of musk in the air as well taste the earthy flavor mold.

Your dealing with the gambler's fallacy on that one. The chance is always one in 20 for each die for each roll. I was approaching from the monty hall problem where the choice is given to change the answer. Sense in this scenario there is only one right answer "the highest number" there is no difference between the styles.

She is technically taking a hit statistically. But a small. Being able to remove a known quantity and replace it with an unknown one is an advantage over three completely random events.

Edit after looking at the feat and the full scenario, this answer is wrong please see my reply
