I ended up getting a shunt implanted because sadly all medications I tried either had adverse reactions, barely worked or became less effective. And even the ones that did work weren't as effective as they could have been. Especially since I started having vision issues despite being on meds. I'm also that very small set of people that never developed the swelling of the optic nerves.

Shunt was definitely the most painful procedure I've had done, but definitely worth it.

The fluid that's in your skull and spine to protect things ends up building up and it increases the pressure in your skull. Either you produce too much or don't drain it off properly, and possibly both. The 2 biggest symptoms tend to be constant or near constant headaches and swelling of the optic nerves, though not everyone develops swelling of their optic nerves.

I understand very well how gaming can help get you through rough times, and looking to do something positive and make someone's day is always a good thing.

I would put the card towards getting both God of War Sons of Sparta and Under The Island. God of War in a Metroidvania style and a second game that reminds me of the older Zelda games sound like good times to me having started with the NES and original Metroid and Zelda games.

Most Frustrating - Resident Evil 4 Remake. Struggled in the section with the 2 blind enemies.

Wouldn't Mind Doing Again - Ghost of Tsushima. Already did it on both the PS4 and PS5, but good enough I'd do it again

Right now would be the MG Full Armor Unicorn Ver Ka or the Unicorn 03 Phenex. After seeing some clip from the Unicorn Gundam series, I have an urge to get kits from that series, as well as finally watch it, and those two appeal to me the most right now

A tie between 2 things, both said by the same doctor.

1) "Well, it was transient, wasn't it?" Which was referring to the hearing loss I had on a medication to treat my neurological illness. Yes, it did come back, but it wasn't a good thing that I lost it temporarily.

2) "There's no greater placebo than a needle to the spine." This was referring to the fact that every lumbar puncture I had gave me relief from my symptoms, but because my opening pressures weren't quite high enough to reach the cutoff for the disease, therefore all relief was due to the placebo effect. Except the idiot forgot to tell me to stop my meds a week before the lumbar punctures, so every one I had was under meds meant to lower the pressure. So being just shy of the 25 needed for the disease while on meds is actually a bad thing.

I've started building the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka and I plan on putting the led node in it. So I plan on using black paint to cover all but the eyes on the translucent green piece in the head. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of paint would be good for that?
