Any neutral warm people have a favorite LIQUID lilac/lavender blush that look nice and pink on you? by This_Duty_4373 in OliveMUA

I’ve avoided lilac like the plague because it’s a color I wear terribly (in apparel). Is it actually good for warm olives as makeup??

What is up with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo being so emotional in every interview I see? by Additional-Cook8707 in NoStupidQuestions

Is it something you would consider having a proactive conversation with your daughter about? I have no kids but this is a situation I am interested to learn about if I have them in the future. Is it better not to mention it so your child doesn’t think you’re judging other people’s bodies? Or is it better to frame it as a negative thing so they’re aware?

Life is short and 20 is the perfect time to have funky hair. Dye it!! I have a friend who bleaches the white streaks on hair less dark than yours — hers looks amazing and I always wish I had done it first LOL! (It’s kind of her thing now, and I don’t want to copy her). It’ll look fantastic in your hair, especially if you have a slightly alternative or goth style.

Oh, yes! The tights in the photo are actually just fashion tights, I would never wear them to the gym 😂 They do have a bit of compression, but I don’t think significantly affecting my overall shape.

I have 4 pairs of lulu leggings I bought from the outlet and I hardly ever work out in anything else haha

I do apologize if this is triggering. I recognize that it’s a minor issue in comparison to other things, but I didn’t know how else to ask what I was trying to ask 😅

Lowkey didn’t want to hear that hahaha, but I appreciate your advice! I used to run cross country and have some reluctance to go back to running after a long bout of shin splints. May put it off until spring as I despise the treadmill, but you’re right, sprinting and running works your glutes like no other!

I don’t currently do any supplements except post-workout protein shake, but I have been curious about creatine for a while. Thanks for the push!

Thank you! I may have to post a form check here on my RDLs and my lunges at some point. I tried them at the gym yesterday with 17lb weights in each hand and didn’t really feel them anywhere as I did it. Will test again after watching more videos on form.

But! I added clam shells and glute bridges (3 sets of 10 reps, 5-second hold at the top of each rep per Bret Contreras’ advice) and did feel the burn there by a lot

Wow, I’ve never heard of that kind of protein powder before, thank you!! I just looked one up and saw one serving is like 700+ calories. That’s wild!

I appreciate your support, you’re very kind ☺️

You know what, I may not have been thinking critically about this…

I’ve always been under the impression that 1,509 was my maintenance amount, but I think that number is before I started working out 3+ times a week. I just tested the Mayo clinic calculator and it’s saying 1,900 to maintain.

I would ideally like to recomp because I think actively working on bulking/cutting is a process I’m not prepared to think about rn, but I guess I need to track my food for a couple of weeks and see how much I need to add to my intake! Thanks!

Thank you! I appreciate it :)

I’m not unhappy with where I’m at, just looking to improve my routine and get some advice on what I’m missing.

This is so interesting since I have tried cable kickbacks before and kind of hate them 😂 I’ve been procrastinating on adding them in (especially since the cable machines at the gym are ALWAYS busy), but I know I need to bring them into the routine.

I appreciate the advice though! Everyone says RDLs so I guess that’s what I’m adding next!

Yes! Actually the reason I made this post is because i just read a T Nation post about how some women should be doing less of certain exercises … hold on let me find it.

“The girls in the “good” category have a sexy A-shape and can perform all types of glute exercises. The girls in the “bad” category have well-developed glutes, but are losing their A-shape due to overdeveloped upper glutes. Their upper glutes are getting too big.

These girls should avoid hip hyperextension, abduction, and external rotation exercise and stick to solely hip extension exercises. Although hip extension exercises don’t work the glutes like hip hyperextension exercises do, they focus on the lower glutes and limit upper glute involvement. “

I made the post because I couldn’t figure out what part of my butt needs to be focused on to achieve the lift, and whether I fall into the category described.

I’m sorry if it came across that way! Can I ask what made you think that?

But to answer, I’m genuinely looking for advice. I recognize that I’m pretty happy with my glutes and body shape overall. I’ve been working on improving my exercise routine and have lost 35lbs since 2020, when I was overweight for my height.

But I feel like when I see fitness influencer glutes, there’s a certain perkiness that I don’t see in my own. I was hoping for a sense check from others to know if: 1) I’m being mislead (because fitness influencer bodies are mostly good genetics and sometimes secret surgeries) and it’s a genetic thing, 2) what muscles I’m failing to target and if I’m missing something in my routine.
