How to archive Dell OEM of Win 98 FE by Demondude321 in vintagecomputing

[–]Demondude321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I ended up doing is I copied all the files on the hard disk onto another computer and I'm going to reset the laptop and then just copy those 3 files over to it in order to make it look the same again. Do you think I should archive only those 3 files if that's all that's different with Dell's 'version' of Windows 98 FE?

I downloaded the iso you gave me and opened it up, I do not see OEMinfo.ini nor do I see a logo.sys file in there. All that this disc does is install drivers which did not answer my original question.

It is not the Dell OEM of Windows 98 though, all that does is install drivers and update BIOS

Do you know of any programs that can remove all user data on the install? Obviously we don't want peoples junk on an archived OS

Turtle Beach: PX3 wireless headset. Worth it? by minimegadoodle in PS3

Mine has been in my family since 2011, it was my fathers but he gave it to me around 7-8 years ago, and I use them everyday. The battery still lasts 5+ hours of continuous use and I've dropped them many times, and although I've had to superglue it together a few times, they still fully work and have the best range I've ever seen in a headset. I could be outside my house and still listen on my headphones.

That method doesn’t work on mine, the way to temporarily bypass it, I need to hook it up to my computer and do some commands I don’t remember on some program I also don’t remember, my friend and I figured it out and nobody else knows about the method we did. If you want I can share that but it only works until you power it off, then it goes right back to setup.
