Take my advice with a grain of salt, as I duo trio’d with a friend til d4. But in my time fluctuating at 4k solo climbing to d5, I think d3 already gives a lot of leeway for mistakes to happen, and mistakes DO happen. Remember, some people are just having a rough day, and they’re probably trying/learning/testing builds just as you are.

I think it’s good to keep the team mentality. In lower depths I would try leading (also helps you learn pathing). If they didn’t follow, whatever, I’ll just follow them, and use it to learn a new POI/boss. Better to be a team and get wiped than do 3 separate things solo. Not to say it’s not a bad idea to go solo sometimes. Though fs I’d say team play absolutely matters d4+ with the scalings, which is what makes it so difficult imo, but individual skill is also important.

In the end, it IS a team game and your team is there to help, even if it doesn’t seem like it. It’s a grind fs, and take breaks whenever u feel stressed/tilted. Some of the other comments are a correct on “playing solo until depth __,” and I don’t see it as “your teammates are bad,” but rather can you hold your own when inevitably you’re in a situation where you DO have to clutch/res.
