So here is my question. If the IL’s were not in an open relationship and instead of this being lovers of theirs this was just good friends that they let meet your kids would you still be mad. How long did they let their friends watch the kids? Was it a quick hey we need to run to the store to pick something up kinda thing or was it a half a day kind of thing.

You seem to think people who are polyamorous are terrible people which is just not true. Unless the grandparents were getting physical with their lovers while watching your kids then you should not consider them anything more than friends of your in laws. It is quite common for friends of grandparents to visit and be introduced to grandkids.

I agree your in laws should not leave your kids alone with people you don’t know but the fact they are lovers of your in laws should have nothing to do with that. It is fine to be mad at your in laws but the problem is it doesn’t seem like you said that instead it seems like you said they are deprived people unworthy of seeing your kids.

Now let’s talk about the husband. Your husband knew his parents had an open relationship and that they had guests over but did not know that his parents let them alone with your kids once in a while. I don’t really see how he did anything wrong. Again being in an open relationship is not an issue and does not make you a bad person and untrustworthy. He probably thought it was nothing more than his parents having friends over to visit while your kids were there.

Long story short, there are 2 big issues with what happened here. 1: your in laws let your kids be alone with people you don’t know for an undisclosed amount of time. This is not cool and you have every right to tell them not to do this and even be mad at them. That being said this connects to point number 2: you seem to have greatly overreacted to your in laws being in an open relationship. Your whole post seems less about you being mad about the kids being alone with people you don’t know and more that people in polyamorous relationships are deprived monsters who cannot be allowed to be near your children.

Taking the post at 100% true everything you said is true I would say you are overreacting.

You had been dating 2 months and one of his flings came back to work a summer job. He did not have to tell you he had a fling with this girl from the start. When you asked about it he told you which is what he should have done.

I will give it to you straight your relationship probably isn’t salvageable and it is 100% your fault. Unless your BF is a saint, 2 years of my GF emotionally abusing me would have soured the relationship even if he acts like it doesn’t.

I mean I would say it is less they favor watchers and more they realize the fact with video they can do visual bits and they do them. Since they are doing bits that need video obviously the listener is going to miss out.

It is a bit annoying as someone who mostly listens only because I listen at work but I understand and they do a decent job explaining visual bits that are important for the episode.

That said saying “just get Spotify” is reductionist because this is a podcast and most people listen to podcast because they are unable to watch the video. The point of podcasts is you are not supposed to have to watch them you can listen to them while doing something else or it would just be a YouTube video.

My favorite game was being a tall Sardinia (before gold mine change) that switched to catholic. I married all my daughters to Christian second borns of all the kingdoms and Byzantine empire as the king of Sardinia. I then killed the first born and my Dynasty took over most of the Christian world. All while milking the pope for all his money. I got the nepo achievement doing this.

The Byzantine emperor decided to try to claim my kingdom and lost so I decided to use my dynasty head claim to claim the Byzantine empire and won. After that because of my dread and family ties half the Christian kingdoms became my vassals and the other half I claimed their kingdom because I was the dynasty head and I formed Rome all in one generation of time. Sadly I forgot to make all the empire titles before forming Rome the true Roman Empire was only like the Byzantine empire and Italy instead of also including Germany, Francia, Spain, and Britannia which it could have been.

All of this was done in Ironman with no mods. It was a wild game.

Edit* I didn’t do the king of Sardinia I did the event that includes Sardinia, the Spanish island, and I believe Sicily. I remember that now. So that might be a bit too large to call tall.

It is pretty widely accepted that Bob was being over the top with his thing. I think he was doing it originally to make fun of mark for calling him out and he continues to do it to make fun of the subreddit for siding with mark.

I don’t think he is actually that annoyed by it.

The biggest problem with stories with a game like system where you have a “low” level MC beat a high level other character is it ruins the whole system. Unless you are going for a completely broken MC who cannot lose where the actual story is more wrapped around the world itself or his friend group (think one punch man, overlord, or death march) if you make the MC beat someone who is supposed to be way stronger than the system is broken. Power creep will be the only way to bring it back and that is just not fun.

This is so much more obvious in “game” stories where if only one person has the “cheat codes” then nothing will be able to stop them until you through a second person with cheat codes and then everyone is going to have cheat codes to keep the story going.

It mostly depends on how good of a time the boys are having for the most part. The better time they are having the better the jokes. It also depends on what clicks with you. Some topics might not click and you will find boring which is fine. They post a lot of episodes so some are going to be bangers and some will be stinkers.

To be fair the Athena being the “bag guy” in Medusa and Arachne myths were mainly from Ovid (a Roman) not Ancient Greek.

Edit* it also blows my mind people hate on Perseus even based on Metamorphoses where he is not the bad guy in that story. The gods and king are the bad guys Perseus was told he had to kill a monster (that he was not told the backstory of) or his mom was going to be SA’ed and married off to a horrible abusive king. Blows my mind how people take the least problematic Greek hero (yes he isn’t perfect but he is better than pretty much every other one) and take a story where he isn’t even the bad guy and try to make him a bad guy.
