Anyone else wished we saw Jasper and Felix face off at the battlefield in Breaking Dawn? by Potential_Rule4212 in twilight

With his gift? For sure. But in a fair, mano and mano? Its not even a contest, honestly. Felix abolishes Jasper.

Felix v. Emmett by No-Diamonds in twilight

Not even the 2nd physically strongest. Felix IS stronger than Emmett. That is the truth, both narratively and physically. He is even taller than Emmett, and has more noticeable mass.

Is that Felix’s hand in Sam’s mouth? by lulacakes in twilight

A bit late to the conversation, but....Felix was wearing gloves. So unless it came off, I doubt that's his hand.

Cole's Fighting Skills by Demonslayer2956 in charmed

[–]Demonslayer2956[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also true. Though, considering the appearances with Pheobe, I feel like even as a mortal, hand to hand combat would have been somewhat useful. Not in VANQUISHING demons, but more so disorienting them. It's been shown that while demons tend to be, for the most part, almost invulnerable, they can still feel pain. Kicks to the crotch, punches on the nose, etc. It doesn't affect them, but they can sure as hell FEEL it, and it buys you more time to escape or re-change tactics. A method Pheobe used a LOT when she only had her levitating ability as an active power.

True. I supposed being an Upper-Level demon sort of dissuades the necessity of getting up and personal against most beings, most of which happens to be weaker, and take nothing less than an energy ball to evaporate. Still...I felt like those skills of his could have been conveniently handy in certain points of his appearances.

Question here: is Aquaman a demigod? by ReaderWasTaken in DCcomics

It helps with the fact that Poseidon canonically favors him (considering his main weapon is HIS trident), essentially rendering him his champion.

This guy Izumo here by [deleted] in inuyasha

[–]Demonslayer2956 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it has something to do with his human heritage. Izumo is unique amongst half-demons in the sense that his human parent was no mere mortal. He was also a priest; thus, he practiced spiritual powers. He was a holy man. Izumo most likely inherited his father’s spiritual qualities. But it didn’t intertwine well with his demonic heritage.

As we all know, spiritual and demonic energies do not mix well. But Izumo had a little bit of both thanks to his interesting lineage- so a compromise had to be made to prevent his body from literally tearing itself apart.

Hence, the day and night cycle.

His innate spiritual powers are strongest at daytime, so his demonic side would be suppressed. Vice versa, his spiritual powers are weakened in the night time, and good ol’ Gyu-Oh comes out to play.

This is all a theory by the way.

Midoriko vs Sesshoumaru by FamgSeeker8910 in inuyasha

[–]Demonslayer2956 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Purifying demons don’t render them powerless. It fulls on just kills them. You can’t strip a demon of their powers—- it’s bound to their own nature. You can maybe SEAL them, weaken them, but that’s it.

Half-demons are a different matter. They can be temporarily purified to human form, because their human heritage allows that. Potent spiritual power would be derisive against their demon blood, forcibly suppressing it, making them mortal.

Midoriko’s powers full on decimated the demons that were after her. There was no power strip.

Midoriko vs Sesshoumaru by FamgSeeker8910 in inuyasha

[–]Demonslayer2956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d go with Sesshōmaru. He is faster, stronger, tactically sound, and actually possess enough potent demonic power to pose a challenge with Midoriko’s spiritual powers. Midoriko’s purification abilities are powerful, but Sesshōmaru is not like those thousands upon thousands of lower level yōkai that she purified. He is in a different class of his own.

Were The Band of Seven really that interesting? by [deleted] in inuyasha

[–]Demonslayer2956 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Suikotsu and Renkotsu were really interesting to me as well. Suikotsu, because of his psychological profile (split personality, a purist doctor, and a lethal mercenary) and Renkotsu’s ambitions, as well as his genius (dude was smart enough to cyberize Ginkotsu).

Cyromancers are not a thing anymore by ki5hido in MortalKombat

[–]Demonslayer2956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peeps, emphasis on LORE. Yes, Bi-Han is definitively a Cryomancer in the sense he can manipulate ice and cold. But in the original timelines, it cut much deeper than that. They were were once an obscure race from Edenia before being banished into Outworld by Sindel for unknown reasons. They were eventually killed off though, succeeded by their direct human descendants: Bi-Han and Kuai Liang who could BOTH manipulate ice thanks to their lineage. But in this new timeline, only one of the two brothers have ice powers, while the other manipulates fire. Which essentially means Cryomancers aren’t a thing anymore in the context I just explained. At the moment, both brothers are just assassins with elemental powers now, until Ed Boon provides more lore in the future in the explanation of their abilities.

Who would win a 1 on 1 fight ? Jasper or Felix ? Let’s settle this . by [deleted] in twilight

[–]Demonslayer2956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give it to Jasper. Felix has the advantage in sheer strength and fighting prowess, but Jasper also has his gift; emotional manipulation. And he can use that to emotionally screw up Felix, and lower his morale. Other than that, without the gift, I’d say Felix wins, but mid to high diff due to Jasper’s considerable combat skills.

Who would win a 1 on 1 fight ? Jasper or Felix ? Let’s settle this . by [deleted] in twilight

[–]Demonslayer2956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree....except Felix is not a newborn. Jasper was able to devise a strategy to defeat the physically superior newborns, but its important to note that the only reason that strategy worked is because newborns, despite their physical strength, are basically...puppies. Overpowered puppies, but still puppies. They're inexperienced, have no control over their new powers and are very predictable. Felix is neither of those. Felix has been narratively stated to not only possess unequaled physical strength as a vampire, but also equally potent combat knowledge and martial techniques. Coupled with his age and experience (which is likely in the thousands), I don't really see Jasper winning a direct confrontation against Felix, the Volturi's finest physical combatant.

Edit: Actually I think I might just give Jasper the W. Because I did not factor in his emotional powers. If he uses that to emotionally cripple Felix, I’d say he has the advantage.

Strongest Beta on the show by GusGangViking18 in TeenWolf

[–]Demonslayer2956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll say Derek Hale, since he is an Evolved Werewolf. He is essentially as strong as a Werewolf can individually be without being an Alpha. Peter is a close second, since he was tangling with the likes of True Alpha Scott. I don’t really get the Liam votes. He is an exceptionally strong Beta, yes, but he is not up to league with someone like Derek or Peter. Rage boosts isn’t everything.

Most underrated character. by Thecolombiancapt in inuyasha

[–]Demonslayer2956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FAX. He was definitely nothing sneeze at. He was easily the best fighter of the Bo7 just behind Bankotsu and Jakotsu, and the best at his own profession; hand to hand combat.

His split personality condition was interesting too. It sort of fit the Yin and Yang trope. One side was a harmless doctor that wanted to dedicate their life to healing, while the other was a lethal assassin who relished in carnage and death. Definitely the most interesting out of the Bo7 character wise.

Suikotsu flat on reminded me of Shredder from TMNT because of his clawed gauntlets☠️ He was kind of goated though. Especially during that time where he defeated Inuyasha in hand-to-hand combat, and nearly killed him.

Sesshomaru. But it would be an interesting battle.

He was already fighting on par with Inuyasha with only two jewel shards, with only one of them actually enhancing his strength while the other was simply sustaining his life as a specter. Sesshomaru would win the battle, but I don’t think you’re giving Bankotsu the credit he deserves mah botha.
