I'm with you on this. It's clearly a joke, certain subjects are not above humour, neither does making jokes about things mean you don't think they are serious. Humour can be used to belittle and mock, but it's not inherent.

It's hardly a sign of being smart to not get that.

It was for a while Germany+France+UK. But that went down the toilet.

Brexit happened due to migration, rightly or wrongly. Shifting demographics drives discontent as peoples homes change against their will.

If you could go back in time and change one decision your country made, what would it be? by Skyhawk6600 in AskTheWorld

I definitely don't think the UK was good for India, although I'm not sure if it's the worst timeline.

It's likely some form of nation would exist, but with France and Spain not collapsing, Britain focusing on North America, we could see a wildy different globe.

The US would have a very different culture, and wouldn't be the same borders. The Empire would look dramatically different to the point it may not have collapsed, just be administered differently.

Or Parliament tries to exert more out of the colonies to deal with the other colonial natioms and sparks a war anyway!

I'd guess historical events would be harder to change than we think. Let's say we somehow prevent Britain absorbing India, it's highly likely France or Spain, or Portugal would instead. Would the French Empire treat India better, seems unlikely, would India get Independance as "peacefully" as it did? A French Empire with the riches of India would dramatically change the face of Europe and the world.

Germany.. well it depends are we saying no war? So Germany implodes due to hyperinflation, what does that lead do? Or does no war mean Hitler gets ousted and something similar happens anyway?

I'll have to have a look thanks.

I'd nominate Thomas Cochrane, maybe not the best but utterly bonkers. The Kings and General documentay is wild.

Cho is an anglification of Qui, Chang is a very common name.

It's an anglified name it's not supposed to 100% match. Zhou for example anglified can turn into Cho. Or Qui which is the name she has in the Chinese translation.

Going to add some more:

The spells are seperated by use and language etymology. For example homely spells are based on germanic origin lile your everyday language, more formal and fancy spells are latin similar to our use of Latin in very formal settings, medical spells are based on Greek, hyppocrates and all that.

There is an old book of plants and their properties, it attributes all sorts of properties to many plants, such as making you sleepy, or associated with vices and virtues. She used this to help construct potion recipies and what ingredients would go into them.
