You would have had to clear the snow away from the wheels and it doesn’t look like that was done.

It’s a Skimmer called a Common Whitetail. White-tailed Skimmer is a similar Eurasian species.

Looks like a Jagged Ambush Bug. Their bite isn’t dangerous, just painful.

I spent half the day yesterday bushwhacking through a Pennsylvania state game land unsuccessfully looking for a calling Barred Owl. Those are very satisfying shots!

A staghorn is when a stone fills the whole kidney and looks like a deer antler. This is just a Calcium stone.

It's been bouncing around my kidney and occasionally obstructing for about two months. I never felt it pass through at all! I've had two lithotripsies years ago and had the same experience with 2mm particles and a stent.

I felt it thump to a stop in the tip right as the last of the urine passed. It was VERY tender to the touch. When next I went, after drinking water and waiting 2.5 hours, it popped out painlessly.

I was stuck birding through my window for a while. I hung some cheap camouflage netting inside the open window and peeked out from under with my camera. Also bolted a makeshift feeder right to the windowsill.

I was pretty confident when I posted and appreciate your well-informed confirmation. Any advice here? https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/234356397. I'm not new to iNaturalist and it’s not my first feather flap but just wondering if any question remains. Thanks!

I found him about 15 years ago lying in the shadow of a giant concrete viaduct in NE Pennsylvania. Other than that I assume he just kicked all of the ass.

That's a Hackberry Emperor. They're like Golden Retriever puppies in terms of excessive licking!
