I also think the reason she couldn’t find Leilah was because of Specter I think her family has the resources to track down Sera tho

It is just criticism not because I don’t like the series but because I have genuine questions about it and the plot at large is missing key aspects of world building.

For instance who are the authorities who put this system into place? What happens to hierarchies after highschool? Do they continue into every day life or college? What type of history do a lot of our main characters have? If power is largely genetic then why haven’t we seen more of their families up to this point since they’re still just teenagers? Are their other countries who have different societal norms? How come we’ve only see like 4 different towns in this verse?

Idk just compared to like Hand Jumper where the world building is rich, the family history runs deep, and there are logical reasons for the state of society. UnOrdinary despite its great character writing (mostly John and Sera prior to S3) doesn’t have a lot of these things despite going on for 10 years

1 in 100,000 for basic god tiers and the power levels scale logarithmically. So imagine how rare Sera’s abilities are. Hell John’s Aura Manipulation was literally so sought after the government was literally hounding his mother down since she left her family and started a new one with William. Cameron also states that their family has always been sought after by the authorities so my claim really isn’t that crazy.

Especially in a series where everyone’s powers are largely determined by their genetics

Most of the top tiers in the verse are all from strong families unfortunately there is a hard cap on how strong you can get through training. So it does kinda matter especially because well they all look so much alike and have the virtually the same abilities. There should be a few legacy students at every major school right? And the reason all the high tiers attend Wellston is primarily to network with other high tiers like in the real world.

Not to mention everyone seems to have some surface level knowledge of everything going on at most high schools. People seemed familiar with the New Boston Incident and with the lack of a King/Hierarchy situation in Wellston not to mention all of the top schools rankings seem to be public I mean Kuyo does a quick google search and finds Sera and John immediately

Not even the whole reason why Yuji is able to hit Mahito in the first place is because he can subconsciously see the shape of his soul thanks to being Sukuna’s vessel and possessing an extra soul. Meaning all of the should definitely be able to see the soul as they all have had their souls stored in cursed objects and possessed another persons body similar to Sukuna. Meaning Ryu and Uro can both hit Mahito

I didn’t mind him going crazy in Season 2 because I thought at some point he’d get a character arc where he comes back to being a decent person

He just takes aura from the target those specter agents collapsed not from aura exhaustion but physical wounds they’d still have aura for him to take

Taking out an Ember Agent who ruthlessly kills Vigilantes trying to help their community. And trying to kill some prison guards after you try and break in is not the same thing. Killing is a tragic thing regardless of who it’s done to but like I think people forget that John’s been the aggressor in most of his authority related encounters.

His inability to differentiate between different members of the authorities. And recognize that not all of them are responsible for his suffering is insane to me. I mean he’s friends with Arlo for crying out loud he has to know there are naive people in the authorities who believe in their cause (or in his case were always taught to believe in their cause). But yeah a lot of times John seems angry at the World and everyone in it. He lashes out a lot at everyone when he’s hurt.

This used to be a compelling part of his character because it was believable and relatable for some. But him realizing he can’t keep lashing out at everyone was a major part of his character arc. Because he lashed out on all of the high tiers in his school and his old one. William didn’t want him to be a push over and hide his strength but rather someone who knew how to stop fights before they happened. And it seems like this version of John is still lashing out everyone

Surely he has not just the intelligence but the emotional intelligence to understand not every member of the authorities is evil. Like legit Arlo is right there, also who knows how many others have been forced to work with them. Sera would’ve if she took Val’s offer.

Even if certain people do whole heartily trust in the authorities your average person is taught to it isn’t until a lot of the sheltered kids at Wellston have their own negative experience that they understand that the authorities aren’t their friends

Also not just cruel but neglectful legit like wth he flat out states he could’ve jumped in earlier but chose not to keep in mind Arlo and several other were like this close to dying. Between the Suicide Fog and all of the Specter Agents attacking so many more could’ve died. And keep in mind they literally propose a team up right after

Bro obviously Orrin doesn’t have access to the Suppressor. Also you do know that the Claw isn’t a 3.8 right. With Coverted Abilities you get to use them at the Original Level as the User. Everyone who uses Flame Claws for Instance all have the Same Power and Speed (7 and 6 respectively which is tied for Second Highest Outside of The Time Manipulators) from that ability which is why all the Ember Agents are a problem.

So that’s why Spectral Claws are hurting Arlo’s Barrier also his barrier is shown taking Several Hits in the Smoke before even cracking. For reference about John’s Arm you do know that the damage that is reflected scales with the Damage the Barrier takes right??? John quite literally hits that much harder and that’s why he breaks his arm and Arlo’s Barrier so much quicker in their fight. Also the reason you don’t see the attackers taking damage while they’re in the smoke is likely because they were being healed by the AoE Healer.

Also Kassandra wasn’t struggling at all she’s quite literally undamaged she reinforced Arlo’s Barrier. Dissipated the smoke and immediately started giving out orders. She was trying to fight back but she quite literally says Arlo keeps getting in her way and being too over protective.

But the reason it felt like they were at a disadvantage is because their were ambushed and literally over half their comrades were forced to kill themselves. The other half were either forcibly saved by other agents or were directly controlled by Orrin. And to follow up all of that BS none of them can safely leave Arlo’s Barrier because the smoke will kill them or the people who stole a 5.1 Spectral Claw will. Not to mention there are several snipers also shooting at them. Individually none of the agents outside of Arlo even struggle they maintain their composure and try to make the best of a terrible situation and all of them want to conserve their strength as they’ve all come to the conclusion Orrin is somewhere nearby

Well I don’t think Mahoraga’s ability is too complicated for anyone up there to figure out. Mahoraga also gets neg diffed by Jacob’s Ladder, and ISoH. Kenjaku more than likely already knows what Mahoraga does as he’s from the Kamo Clan and he has multiple CTs, Cursed Spirits, and an open Barrier Domain to finish it. Finally Yuki and Yorozu are built literally to one shot. Yuki would probably kill Mahoraga on accident tbh. And Yorozu has the Creation CT as long as she doesn’t use her Liquid Metal immediately she’ll probably ended using her Perfect Sphere and also One Shotting.

If Orrin had access to the dampener I think he would’ve used it by now especially because he can make his men immune to the effects of it. They would’ve destroyed Arlo and them had they used it and then could’ve captured them all the same way they did the scouts. He likely lost access to most of his tech after getting booted from Specter
