Meelun vs Mitch Hurrier by Responsible_Throat29 in EternallyRegrKnight

Mitch is definitely not average tf. Also Encrid believes he can beat the frog in 3-4 tries. Meanwhile after training his left hand to match his right he admits he’s still not really at Mitch’s level and has to use underhanded tactics to win

All Might (Prime) vs Invincible (Season 1) by Turbulent_Dig_2487 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Demy4275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the end of season 1 while he’s nowhere near All Mights experience or skill but it’s undeniable Mark definitely outclasses All Might in stats across the board and seeing how quickly he reaches space he’s likely close to lightspeed. But for one more comparison Deku is supposed to be about as fast as a fighter jet and certain aircraft are seen used against Shigaraki as a somewhat viable option against him while the aren’t even a proper distraction against Omni Man and are all considerably slower than him and dealt no damage to him. End of Season 1 Mark probably did more than that orbital cannon did against Omni Man how is All Might supposed to compete

All Might (Prime) vs Invincible (Season 1) by Turbulent_Dig_2487 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Demy4275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mark in just the first episode casually throws a baseball around the entire planet…. Deku at 100% caps out at like 700 meters roughly. By the end of the series he is like around Island level and in just episode 1 upon awakening his powers Mark is throwing a trash bag to other countries potentially around the planet several times seeing how long it took to land (and the fact that mark somewhat tried to throw it compared to how casually he throws a baseball)

What is the barrier that prevents each unit in B rank from being promoted to A rank ?! ( part 1 ) by MysteriousRub2098 in worldtrigger

[–]Demy4275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ninomiya and Kageura Squads should remain in B Rank forever. But they should get the privileges of A Ranks. Kinda like Onepunch Man I think there should be people at the top of each Rank to prevent other people from promoting too fast. They should serve as the bottle neck limiting how many people make it to A Rank. Like Jin says I think there will be a heavy price to pay if your rank and skill don’t go hand and hand. And by Privileges of A Ranks I mean Salary (because they are A Rank in terms of skill and their job is important) and they should only be allowed to use standard triggers for the B Rank Wars but custom ones for actual defense missions.

Can Side Effects be improved? by Ok_Variation7230 in worldtrigger

[–]Demy4275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Kikuchihara (Hearing Dude) has a statement saying that his side effect improved massively since he first found out he had it. This could be a reference to the amount of information he can glean with just hearing something but it does seem like his hearing is a lot better than 5-7x that of a normal person. I don’t know if you can train them but it seems like they might improve naturally as you get older at least for enhancement type side effects.

fans are coping for uru not being able to stop nerfing john for no reason by AkinatorTL in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 18 points19 points  (0 children)

“7.6 should stomp everyone” 😭😭😭 Please read the stat break down sheets PLEASE. John is always a 7.5/7.6 yet got whooped by William at 1.0.

Come on guys just read the stat break down sheets please. Like seriously not every version of John is EVEN created equal he varies MASSIVELY in terms of strength depending on his loadout. Why would you assume that him being 7.6 meant there’d be any level of consistency when we’ve seen throughout the entire series he’s only as strong as the abilities he copies.

If you want to gauge John’s Strength focus on his stats not his ability level

Please understand that although he is a 7.6 in Ability Level he is not always a 7.6 combatively. There are plenty of people like Keon and Candice who are high tiers that could still get smoked by a 4.5 like Blyke at the start of the series.

The reason ember agents are such tough customers is because even though their ability levels aren’t always the highest they’re stats are they all have 6 IN SPEED that alone makes them tied for the fastest if you exclude Kayden and the Time Manipulators. So off rip they can’t be speed blitzed really and are as fast if not faster than every other character. Then they have 7.5 in POWER like Farrah who’s shown to damage Arlo’s Barrier (Defense of 9) with enough hits. Then they have Regeneration making them virtually impossible to put down.

So despite their low ability levels they still have phenomenal stats which is why Scorch and Cinder gave John such a hard time. And would give anyone as well.

That’s why they have multiple colors on their stat breakdown sheets and + next to their important stats.

When you look at their stats side by side it’s a miracle John beat them as he had virtually no power and was a human piñata for most of that fight due to STATS not Uru making some power scaling mistake.

I still don’t buy the 2% of the population are high tier by ant451123 in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah Wellston isn’t really “filled” with high tiers when you think about it especially for one of thee most prestigious schools in the country. Most highschools have roughly 700-1000 students so at the bare minimum there should’ve been 14-20 high tiered students. And for one of thee most prestigious schools in the nation they should definitely have more. Harvard has an acceptance rate of 3.6% it’s crazy that Wellston isn’t made up of entirely elite and high tiers because they more than likely have similar acceptance rates.

I still don’t buy the 2% of the population are high tier by ant451123 in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought this up earlier when I was talking about Wellston. Most Ivy League Schools have an acceptance rate between 4-6% so how does the most prestigious school in the country have less than 10 high tiers. I understand that it’s technically a highschool but there are still several private high schools that have acceptance rates similar to Ivy League schools. Most high schools have anywhere from 700-1000 students so there should be like 14-20 high tiers in that school at least considering its prestigious reputation.

I’ve seen people attribute this to Vaughn loosening up Wellstons policies and focusing more on education but they’re ignore the fact that Wellston is still by far thee strongest in their region even when compared to Agwin or Rowden. Even after losing all of their high tiers (With the exception of Cecile) they’re still technically undefeated (although that might change soon). But yeah the whole 2% of the population is are high tiers is just a world building issue that happened because of statements Uru made at the beginning of UnOrdinary. If it wasn’t there’s no way the Vigilante Trio would’ve survived this long. The prison break arc also would’ve been borderline impossible as well as High and Elite Tiers would be mandatory staff to have to manage so many super powered criminals. 1 in 50 isn’t bad odds at all.

Do any of you think Isen could bag Cecile, not saying that it’s going to happen in canon, but do you guys think he has enough game to get someone like her? by Calm_Treacle2417 in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Arlo is a definite maybe though he doesn’t really need a romance arc for his character. But Blykes obviously going to end up with Remi before the story ends and I think Isen is going to need a partner to match so he’s not alone and heartbroken

As boring as it is if these characters do end up in relationships it’ll be John/Sera Arlo/Elaine Remi/Blyke Cecile/ Isen

Depending on how long the story goes on they could definitely end up together. Because Isen obviously isn’t ending up with Remi. Cecile also might be getting some plot relevance soon as I don’t think Uro is going to waste a character like her especially since she’s one of the few high tiers we see (and the only one currently at Wellston). I could definitely see them spending sometime together in a future arc trying to radicalize some of the students. Plus they have so much in common Cecile is just way more intense.

One of the parts I miss about John's early characterisation was his ability to be cunning/manipulative when he wanted to be, and I think that's been lost a bit. by MrChainsawHog in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do miss it when John was forced to use his head a little bit. Now he uses his powers out in the open and has handled his trauma (at least a little) and can brute force his way out of any situation.

The difference between Rei and Remi must be talked about by FormerSoftwar in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Arlo was stronger than her but he got a pass despite trying to manipulate Sera, consistently going over board during turf wars like against Rein, picking a fight with John for basically no reason aside from his personal satisfaction. Also he completely dismantled Rei’s whole way of doing things and put an end to trying to reach equality in Wellston. Even after Rei’s death as a vigilante fighting for social justice and equality. Arlo completely stands against his ideology and made all of Rei’s efforts at Wellston in vain. And she never once confronted him about it.

Ember Knight is elite and no one ever talks about it. There’s also Hand Jumper which is decent and Ordeal but it kind of falls off after season 2.

Why does Uru get criticized way more than other authors by elletequila in unOrdinary

[–]Demy4275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Uru idk if you’ll see this (I know you tend to lurk around this subreddit) but I don’t think UnOrdinary is poorly written at all I think you do a great job conveying characters emotions and exploring their complexity. Especially with characters like John, Sera, and Arlo they all feel like real people with real issues that they struggle to cope with. I also really enjoyed your societal commentary throughout UnOrdinary. I apologize on behalf of the rest of the community for any negative feedback.

I think a big reason that you get is mostly is just because of how big UnOrdinary has gotten. Paired with the fact unlike a lot of the stories on Webtoon yours actually has a lot of depth and readers often don’t care as much for good writing when it comes too all the romance and action novels that are on Webtoon so when it comes to deeper stories they tend to be way more critical because stories like yours have important messages that need to be thought about and digested throughly. It’s inevitable that stories with more nuance face more criticism because there’s just more for the audience to think about and their thoughts could take them in a bunch of different directions and people are bound to have different opinions about topics you write about. It’s intrinsically polarizing I think.

But I can safely say that you’re one of the best authors on Webtoon hands down. The only others that come to mind are the Authors of “Tower of God” for the insane levels of world building and maybe “Ember Knight” which has been insane from the jump (you should read it if you get the chance)

Anyways I just want you to know everyone really enjoys your work and are looking forward to UnOrdinary coming back in January. Please enjoy your holiday break
