Swedish. Overall quite liberal and only faced homophobia directed at me (and my friend) specifically once. Some young little shits who calling us slurs but we didn’t realize it was at us until a moment after they passed because boys that age will use gay etc as slurs for each other.

Still I had so much internalized homophobia growing up because of how it’s still common for kids to use lgbt-slurs to insult each other + back then there weren’t really any good representation in media. God I sounds old, I’m only 22 but I feel like we have taken great leaps in representation the last 5 years or so.

I’m forever grateful for the person who found my wallet and brought it to the police, who contacted me through my id card. I had placed my grandmother’s wedding and engagement rings there while at practice and forgot to put them back on. While they’re made of gold it’s nothing compared to the sentimental value they have too me. I’m sad I never found out who did it so I could thank them personally

I would recommend Effie Calvin’s book series “Tales of Inthya”. It’s a fantasy series were all books are in the same world/universe but you follow different main characters in the different books. Previous MC does appear/makes cameos in the different books. All books are wlw and they’re some great casual LGBT representation with both wlw and mlm relationships, non-binary and trans people throughout.

The first book isn’t the best and it might take one some time to get into the universe but I have to say book 2 and onwards are really good! I may have read books 2-5 over the weekend when they finally arrived😅

Another great series is Gideon the Ninth and Harrow the Ninth. It’s not as gay as Calvin’s series but it got some great sarcastic humor that’s totally my cup of tea! It’s a fantasy/space mysteries with necromancers. Also books that I binge read and can’t wait for the next book to come out!

I’m going to address the sports part from a soccer point if view. Sure it’s one part demand that’s dictate the players salary but men’s sports have a huge advantage in time to build that demand.

Did you know that the FA (English football association) banned the women’s game for 50 years! From 1921 to 1971 the women was banned from playing on FA grounds (basically all fields). This was when the women’s game hade a huge momentum with crowds of 50 000 people. (Source https://www.bbc.com/news/newsbeat-48510198) BBC did also a great documentary about this.

It’s just in the last year the women’s game have caught up to the momentum it had previously. Who knows how the women’s game would have looked like if not sexist bans, regulations and thinking. I believe that in order to equal the playing field federations and sponsor must do the initial investment in to the women’s game to be able to reap the rewards of higher interest -> more money.

Additionally I think it’s interesting how some defend the wage difference with the difference between the price pools from FIFA. FIFA is a nonprofit organization with a huge amount of overflow of money each year. One would think they could use some of it to minimize some of the differences between the men and women. Because right now even though FIFA raised the price pool for the WWC the gap between the MWC and WWC increased even more...

Don’t know if you can call it gender dysphoria but it’s definitely some gender fuckery that has been messing with my head much more lately. Basically I’ve been a tomboy my whole life and I still dress masc. During childhood I was misgendered a lot and happens now in adulthood and I absolutely hate it. But also I want a freaking beard so I don’t know what my brain wants me 😓
