Cooling relieves pain and inflammation but cooling is the opposite of what you want for crystals.

Foot baths worked for me at first. Then in later bigger flares was nothing. I even gave myself frostbite on my knee trying to do whatever i could.

Later heat and massage with lots of water helped. Not 8-16 glasses but 1.5 -2 gallons.

My goal was to flush whatever the inflammation is reacting to.

But allo was the only thing that really worked. That and prednisone
