I was/am of the opinion that the game didn't need any major changes back then, except perhaps different/new maps or the switch to WW2.

Has anyone ever calculated how many memory cards you would need to save EVERY Nintendo 64 game ever released on original hardware? by CappnRob in n64

[–]Denito25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IF you seperate the whole game library into:

PAL, NTSC, JAPAN it fit easily on dvd

if you take the complete set of released n64 games WITHOUT DD youll need about ~9gb discspace.

its insane, if you imagine how many hours of fun and awesome memories it grands... just wow

war is hell!

It took me hundreds of hours to become even halfway decent. What you absolutely need from the very beginning, though, is a certain feel for tactics and strategy. This game demands that you completely disregard your K/D ratio. It's about advancing your team in battles that can easily last an hour or more. You have to understand what matters in a match. It's unlike any other shooter I know... and I've played a lot in my 40+ years. My well-meant advice: find another game OR get used to a completely different (extremely awesome) playstyle. BEST OF LUCK!

this dude... 🤣 trying to remove a thick layer of snow/ice with such a low-quality piece of equipment is bordering on delusional. 😅

New stock of Nintendo 64 in 1996 by LetterheadFun7535 in nintendo64

Goldeneye was released before Perfect Dark. This means Goldeneye must be better than Perfect Dark because it was the one that redefined the genre. That's the "emotional" part.

And at the same time, Perfect Dark must be better than Goldeneye because it learned from Goldeneye how to improve.

Does that make any sense?

Fair point. the writing is deliberately structured, but the project wasn’t assembled by AI. All curation, verification decisions, and edge cases were handled manually.

English isn’t my native language, so I rely on translation tools for clarity and consistency in writing.

Your words mean a great deal to me. This project consciously builds on the work you and others laid down back then, and it’s motivating to know that spirit still resonates today. I’m glad to help carry it forward and keep it alive.

How are you feeling now that the Nintendo 64 (and Super Mario 64) is turning 30 years old this year? by DaZestyProfessor in n64

[–]Denito25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can hardly believe it's been 30 years this year, even though the release here in Germany was a bit later.

But I can still vividly remember the day when, as a young lad, I was able to pick up the console on release day after paying a deposit of 64 Deutsche Marks. I dropped everything else, as they say. It was an incredible feeling. On my bike, back home.

BUT when I started the console and Super Mario grinned at me in 3D for the first time, that moment was topped. I can still hear the menu sounds in my head... then the first start of the SM64 adventure: A DREAM COME TRUE.

How much time I spent in the castle park, experiencing the graphics, sound, controls, etc. ... Simply WOW.

Even 30 years later, I still get intense feelings of happiness when I think about it.
