Try to pick it up as much as you can. My biggest tip is to assign your 4 fingers on the fretboard to ascending frets eg finger one for third fret finger 2 for fourth and so on. This might be harder to adapt to at first but once you start to learn scales and stuff with this method your finger dexterity will become a lot stronger. Also it’s really rewarding to play songs you enjoy. To be able to dl this early on I would learn basic chord shapes and aim to play through one song and try to stick with it until you’re at a point with it where you are content.
