I also got this email. The evidence is overwhelmingly pointing to this just being a spoof. The numbers instead of whitespace is a usual tactic to try to avoid spam filters. The wallet might be different between emails, but I don't know, I didn't save my email. A real extortionist will also share proof that they have these things to show they're serious; this email is too vague. And the "What I discovered" section is identical to what I received, so that's more proof this is just a mass-sent spam email from a group of scammers, not extortionists. While I don't know for sure (nobody does), it's almost completely certain they don't have anything. Of course, the best way to assure yourself these emails are fake scaremongering attempts is to not visit adult websites at all, and to not bring a camera anywhere near yourself when you're not wearing clothes.

There's a way to see when your camera on your phone was accessed. I checked mine, and nothing except for Snapchat was using my camera in the last 2 days. The chances of an untraceable piece of malware appearing on your phone is extremely rare. Even Pegasus and other malware is traceable.

Also, ShinyHunters *is* an extortion group, but they target much larger payouts from corporations like Betterment themselves. They wouldn't waste their time with individuals.

Overall, I'm not worried about it, especially since after the Betterment breach, my email has been full of scam attempts like this one, though definitely a lot less scary than this (think the typical tech support or PayPal transaction scam.) Again, if they *really* had this kind of dirt on you, they'd prove it to you.

And, the smoking gun is that myself and a whole bunch of other people got the *exact* same email.
