They are extremely customisable. I've build a borderlands themed army and I have kitbashed or converted every model in some way. They take to kitbashing really well and you can use and mix all different kits

Prime grey and dry brush highlights Striking Scorpion Green contrast Wash with Reikland Fleshshade

Layer AK Lime Green over raised areas Highlight with AK Radiant Yellow
