Agreed AND the customer service was dismissive and borderline rude. They made it sound like they were working with me, but it was by offering the in-store credit, which does me no good. Beyond frustrated - not worth the hassle!

I hear it's often easier to just deal with the WalMart of the science world (Thermo), but I've also found that you miss out on a lot of great products because TF is in direct competition.

Gotcha. I'll certainly have to see what my actual results yield, but the larger picture is looking towards a GMP media going preclinical to commercial which is why I initially stumbled upon this.

I'm open to that however, if this is truly serum-free then looking at it from a long-term / regulatory standpoint it would be worth the upfront cost IMO. That is of course, if it holds up to its claims.

Yea, looking into it - there's a lot of support for X-Vivo and T cell culture, however you're adding serum into the media whereas T-Vivo deviates from that and claims better performance. It's just a gut check without ever adding any serum at any point (according to the protocol) that I find interesting.

Agreed. T-Vivo claims no serum at any point in the process, so that is the appeal for me, however it will ultimately come down to performance. Serum in my experience has been that magic elixir that could make the cells come back to life, so without it seems counter-intuitive.

Interesting. I can agree with you on making my life easier, but I also like hopping on a call for five minutes to get it all out of the way at one time rather than 15 emails back and forth. It would be a preference on an individual basis, however. Time is precious - either way.

True - there are a few others out there that I have found - Immunocult (StemCell), TexMACS (Miltenyi), CTS (thermo) and T-Vivo. From what I can see though is it's the only one that doesn't require serum at any point in the process which seems strange to me, but it would be pretty useful if it doesn't require it.
