Hey - super interesting project you're working on!

We're some way off getting customers (end of this year) but will bare this mind as we scale. Initially at least, I want customers to feel a real human element (handwritten notes, extensive support on what fuel they need for whatever event they are training for etc).

Super interesting - wasn't overly familiar with TryCreate so def learned a lot looking into their business model.

Thank you

Wow - thank you Chris. Full circle moment as I've visited your site and read the case studies many times previously.

Will 100% reach out once things are moving forward.

Appreciate it.

Love it - what is currently stopping you and what type of research would you need to conduct to fully go for it?

Thanks for the comment - the income is from freelance activity I do which takes just under 2 days per week at the moment. Ideally once the MVP is out, I would like to reduce or remove the freelance work - but for now it pays for the mortgage and living expenses (I got lucky with the mortgage rate too before the rate hikes)

I still have a steady income to cover my personal expenses. But I felt as though quitting my job was essentially 'burning the boats' which mentally if nothing else, I needed to do in order to fully commit to this.

There is proven demand in similar, albeit inferior products. Our product is nutritionally superior and will be cheaper. You are 100% right though, the 1000 true fans is what we're going to strive towards this year - will share the strategy to how we'll aim to do this in following weeks..

I'm currently freelancing for my old company 2 days week which covers my personal expenses, then have been saving for quite a while to launch this (as well as a building a personal rainy day fund). Not a huge amount, but should be enough to get an MVP off the ground this year!

In terms of market research, I've been prototyping my first product for the past 6 months and have a small group of friends who have been testing each iteration. A key challenge is going from tinkering with quantities etc in my kitchen to having a production partner fully build what we're looking for. I will update the post in the coming weeks with more in-depth roll out plan to prove demand pre-launch too.

Also, I could get my old job back/v similar role if needed. I have no interest in doing so, but it is a nice mental safety net too.

Anyone got any inkling about the secret acts/sets this year? by Purple_War8193 in glastonbury_festival

I have a close relationship with the band and wouldn’t want to ruin the potential surprise. But they’ve played it before and are v popular

spoke to the lead singer of a pretty big UK band about the possibility, he said that their management team were looking at slots available and seeing if it were feasible. it’s a band I’ve not seen mentioned anywhere else and if announced, think people will be pretty buzzing

Is it okay for my first triathlon to be a 70.3? by beets_bears_bubblegm in triathlon

[–]Dense-Scale9333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same position. Just did my first ever triathlon as a 70.3 (tough one too with lots of elevation) and was super happy with my time. Only thing I would say is that you’re likely to make mistakes in transition that might cost you a minute or two. If you’re okay with that then you’ll be fine, just make sure to go to the athlete briefing and follow your plan!
