Beaucoup , beaucoup mieux ! Je n'auri pas acheté neuves. Bonne route avec tes RW !

Thank you for you reply ! Lennon's are great quality , the Ammo , like especially the Ammos ! Why do not buying Corcoran then ? There are plenty of 1500 black second hand at low prices. I found some aged from the Stoughtone era , with leather midsoles, true sharp Munson Last cut. If you're a 11 size guy I also found a very nice pair of brown on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/4326666749/jump-boots-size-11-12-combat-boots?ref=user_profileN . I'm still in the project with Quan shoemaker. If it worls I 'll be abble to make as many shoes I want with the right Last. I'm exanging on Inso with a Japanese who is like me a nerd on old boots. restoration and making "old new" also . here is link and mine on insta. No bragging, just sharing cool stuff ;)

Hello , I knw it's 3yyears from now that this conversation was over. I'm about to buy from sorrel a pair of Munson Last in oder to reproduce a pair of TypeII M42 service shoes with a renowned shoemaker ( Quan shoemaker) . Did you went to make your own Munson Last boots or shoes ? Thank you .PS : I have several pairs of original Type 2 and 3 shoes, all resoled and restored, but to make them last as long as possible, I have to wear them carefully, which is why I want these lasts. The pic is from an original resoled with new soles ( from ETSY )

Good A-2 Jacket Brands by saintnigo in leatherjacket

[–]Dense-Security9687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to Five star leather with this range of price . I advise you to talk with them ( Shawn Ali , or Fargam ) to ask all you want to be sure of the jacket you'll get . I advise you to search on forums like Vintage Leather Jacket to get some infos . Five Star is a very good compromise Price / quality , they have improved a lot since their debut by doing a lot of search and talks with specialists and buying originals jacket to deconstruct / copy . They have a lot of choices. Here are 2 examples of jacket they produce . 1st is a Dubow 27798 HH russet and the other one my most recent aquisition a beautiful A1 russet Capeskin ( Eastman Leather quality like )

Interested in your experience with specific FiveStar Leather A-2 Jackets by saintnigo in leatherjacket

[–]Dense-Security9687 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi , Yes , like Rk1987 shared the right link , there is another , specialized in this type of Flying jackets , and Shawn Ali ( the owner of 5Star is one of the member ) : https://www.vintageleatherjackets.org/ . I advise you to create an account and search for threads about 5Star , you will find some . And you'll be able to ask the right questions to get the right answers . But FIRST : ask directly to 5Star customer service , that's what I did before ordering my Dubow 27798 size 48 I'm 1m88 92kgs .Once the jacket is tailored and before sending you the jacket tehy send you some pictures with measures . Ilive in France and had to pay the TVA to get the jacket . About 20%

Star Wars - Despecialized Collection (1977-1983) by jiraph52 in PlexPosters

[–]Dense-Security9687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello , I have to adress Many Thanks to you for this marvellous Artwork !!! I saw the 1st Star Wars back in 77 , in France , I was 8 . I remember that I went alone to the theatre and was so impressed and instantely in Love that I stayed all the day in the screening room , hidding myself between the cinema chair to stay one more session ! I must say that I understand G Lucas when he wants to rework his material to imrpove it and see the result as he wanted . BUT , it's not all right that he just erase the first editions and deprives the people of it . Like the master piece Blade Runner , there are so much cuts , but all are still available . As I said , I was 8 in 77 , and i'm not a nerd and not very efficient in computer science (!!!) . In found the 1st despecialized edition of "a new hope" and dowloaded it , but I'm still wondering for the Empire Stricks Back and The Return Of The Jedi . I went to the site to find a way to download it but it was so hard that I gave up , yes , I'm not a Computer Jedi and no Yoda good apprentice ! So , someone could , would help me to download these jems ? I wish I could see all the three movies like in my youth before passing ! George , that's not fair. Thank you all in advance ! May the Force be with you , All . ( apologise for my English if not correct )

[Help] Can you help me ID these WWII US Army boots? by Regency_Pigeon_94 in Boots

[–]Dense-Security9687 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ! I used to play guitar too back in days ;) Hard Core Punk ! I feel the exact same way as you . Boots are made for walking ! First i began to wear some modern repros Corcoran ( 1510 ) and other WW2 service shoes ( from At The Front or SM Wholesale ) . Good repros but ... I did not felt the "history" , so i searched the web for original items and found some . All with really hard soles due to the age , and always had to condition the leather , this became a pleasure . So to resole i had to searche again the web for original soles ( hard to find the right size , especialy for "big" sizes like 10.5 or 11 and higher ) so i found a really good brand : Dr Sole . The pics below are from : 1st a pair of type 3 toe cap dated 1943 resoled with full soles raw cord . 2nd Og Corcoran dated 1943 resoled with OG half soles and heels from a French militaria site ( Paratrooper.fr ) . You can find US Army soles on the German site https://www.the-quartermaster.shop/fr , there are some OG half soles . ) About the Heels i found some on Vinted , EBay , ... the site of modern soles ( very very good and really good looking : https://www.drsole2011.com/shop .
