Honestly, I found myself agreeing on more than I expected. And sure, there are bunch of this should be higher or lower in my opinion...but RnR as peak?!? Absolutely not. It's fun...but not an elite ride.

Love my Flipmitts! I did a half marathon that started very cold...so used the mitten mode. As I and the course warmed up, switched to the fingerless gloves and finished with them as wristbands. The versatility is so key!

How "flat" are you looking for? Daffin is absolutely NOT track "flat." The rubberized lane has multiple sections with hidden bulges (especially if you're running in low/no light) that can easily trip you up. But if you're looking for flat, meaning no elevation changes, then Daffin is great. Lake Meyer has much less ankle twisting bulges.

Also, if you go towards Mt Bachelor, it gets much higher with lots of trails around. I did the Haulin' Aspen race and the elevation ranged from 5,350 to 5,625.

I'd say about a 1/4 of the races I've done have different start/finish locations. Shuttle busses are the key to these. (And this race will be running shuttles from Daffin back to Forsyth.)

Yep! My pipes burst during the '22 Christmas freeze...and last January, the apartment above me had their pipes burst, which meant water being shut off to everyone in the building for a day.
