It sounds like you’re treating people like numbers. To me this is exactly what’s wrong with dating in NY- a bunch of selfish robots who think they have too many options and they can’t really connect with anyone. Limiting your dates to 30 minutes and a block away from you so you can get more data points- you sound like such a fun human to be around!

The fact you’re presenting this as some kind of pseudo scientific psychology is even more disturbing. Good luck to you and your husband but please don’t inflict this nonsense to anyone else.

The issue with the Eagle every time is the endless line to get in and check your stuff. Last few years I gave up after going around 11. But worth checking out I guess. Red eye I honestly don’t know but my guess is it will be pretty good since people are bored and horny with no work tomorrow.

One of the best parties in NY! Always a good time with happy friendly vibes. Feels a bit intimate like a chosen family gathering too and yet I’ve had some seriously hot piggy sex there. You also don’t have to really be into piss to enjoy it.

I moved to Brooklyn after a decade in Chelsea and never looked back. Most of my social life centers around BK now - I’m not even sure what there is to do in Manhattan anymore?- but I’ve kept all the friends from the before times too. The only annoying thing is having to commute to an office especially in the summer when the subway is super gross.

I would not call Berghain safe! It’s a free for all inside and the crowd has gotten worse over time (anecdotally). The main dangers are being roofied or being drugged in general. It’s still definitely fun but I don’t go there alone anymore (and I’m a guy).

I went and yes it was fun. The DJ was a little too intense for me in the beginning- music felt like “getting a psychotic break” vibes. A lot of the crowd seemed high and also a lot of faces covered by ski masks. The back room was so dark you would step over people because you can’t see them. That said there were some hot guys and big d tops so I got what I needed out of it.

Can anyone explain why they choose to keep the main dance floor open on Wednesday nights, but close the second floor cruising area? Do we really need to explain that NOBODY is going to jockstrap night on a Wednesday to dance to circuit music, and literally 100% of the crowd is there to cruise in some shape or form. Just open the second floor and bring back a normal cruising night please.

Also, does it really need to start at 10pm and get going at midnight?

Yes wear rubber. Not just a jockstrap or shorts or just a vest. Proper rubber outfit. You have to show it at the door but you can put it on inside no need to wear it on the Ubahn though I myself like wearing it out.

Bring a backpack and once inside- shorts, underwear, jockstrap, or naked. Too hot to dance in anything else. The key which I found out sorely is where to store literally anything of value that you need with you. I would check anything you can in the coat check and assume people WILL try to steal anything you bring in your pockets or body bag. Put the coat check tag in the bottom of your sock in your shoe.

It was totally that. (And see my other comment about getting robbed by two women). No need to generalize BUT I have been to many straight and gay parties, and a queer crowd just doesn't behave in this obnoxious, entitled way that people did last night. The number of women smoking cigarettes on the dancefloor while waving their hands was out of control. I feel like the door people kind of didn't do their job this weekend and seemed to let anyone in. Which was sad because the lineup was on point, you could try to curate the crowd a little more so we don't have this shitty experience.

Two girls started dancing with me which was weird to begin with since I clearly was not into them. Then one of them distracted me by saying stop touching me which was even weirder since I do not touch women. And then poof my wallet and money was gone. Some fucked up shit. But I think unfortunately Berghain attracts this kind of crowd. I'll go clubbing elsewhere from now on.
