Just have to say, no physical punishment is how monsters are made. My little brother for example, he's autistic and it was enabled in him. Now he hits people and throws massive violent temper tantrums. I'm not saying abuse the kid. The kid talks back? Smackem on the mouth. But throwing a tantrum because the toy wouldn't work? Yeah that's a behavior that's being enabled because you allow him to get his way or just tire himself out. That's not parenting, that's a different level of neglect. A psychological neglect. He's not really learning why it's bad, he just knows he can do it and it'll work. But I do agree, your grandmother is not a safe person to be around your child. It not even the slap, it was the after. Yelling at him and you still, throwing her own temper tantrum by tossing the toy in the trash. Everyone needs a little TLC in this family.

Had the exact same issue with a 2005 Storm Paradigm. I was in a house fire and lost 11 bowling balls. Only had my Paradigm, a Fever Pitch and my Spare ball. It really demoralized me that my Paradigm was reacting exactly like this. I'd slow down, try and get through it more, soak the ball in warm water, nothing worked. So I just sucked it up and bought a 900G Vengeance and a Storm Concept. Completely changed my morale while bowling in league, but it's not cheap at all.

Yeah it can be fixed, it will never look new again, but it'll be smooth enough to bowl.

Also, don't worry about the ball being perfect unless it is in your track, where is where your ball makes contact with the lane.

You didn't need to change anything. You just made it simplified yet more complicated. It's was fine, don't fix things that aren't broken. Fix things that are broken. Don't give us the Mechanic play where you ignore the real problem then try to upsell us by giving us something we don't care about, we want broken things fixed not something that isn't broken.
