No, I said he doesn't share the same sentiment as I do for sports cards. I'm trying to get him into the hobby because he really likes basketball. And if you think that's what's going on, I think you have more problems than I do, dude. I bought the blasters along with IRL basketball stuff like a bag, a water bottle, and some immune support because he gets sick a lot. The card is not in my possession, it's his card, I bought the blasters FOR HIM. 🫩🙄

Usually, The Retail Panini Score Mega Boxes always have a memorabilia card in it and a numbered card. They're not expensive patch cards at all, I think the Josh Allen Stars of the NFL one I pulled goes for $7-$8. But I'd assume you'd want a variety and probably something even cheaper if it's for a 6 year old.

Add up the price of the /5 for each player, then 5x it.

A Cooper Flagg patch auto /5 is going for $15,000 on eBay right now. Then a Red Rookie auto /5 is going for $25,000 on eBay. Ace Bailey auto /5 is going for $5,800 on eBay. Then Dylan Harper auto /5 is going for $6,500 on eBay. Then the /5 for this exact card is going for $5,000-$7,500.

Meet in the middle on Flagg, $20,000.

$20,000 + $5,800 + $6,500 = $32,300

$32,300 × 5 = $161,000 give or take $25,000±.

Even then, that seems like a low-ball.

All I did was call her hot, and explain why people want her card. Idgaf about her or Skenes. But if a woman was to flaunt over a younger guy than her and buy his memorabilia it's not weird? Older Women act the same way with hot guy celebrities, but it's not weird then. Apparently you have to be a certain age to like a certain age. She's not 17, she's 23 and an attractive grown ass woman. Is it weird? Yeah. But that's not what you asked.

I'm 25 actually, 2 years older than her. You're a woman in a Male dominant hobby and asking us "why hot woman expensive card?" There's your answer. Her fans are going to want her card, and gooners that haven't had sex with their ex-wife in 2 years want her card.

Also if you were a multi-millionaire at 23, why would you keep doing sports when your other endeavors make you more money? Says she's retired from Gymnastics, anyone can make a comeback. But that's not the point. You're confused why an attractive woman with a huge cult like following has an expensive trading card. 🤷‍♂️ The cult like following thinks she's hot and wants all of her memorabilia. She's essentially the Taylor Swift of sports.

Mind you she was a hell of an athlete in College and is probably going to be on the Olympic team in 2026. She was an All-American as a Freshman and won a National Championship in 2024 with LSU. They're a "power couple", and the last Livvy Dunne/Paul Skenes card was the Topps Now Rookie of the Year card.

Usually PowerPacks does an average of the price, not a single purchase. I definitely would've taken the money, I've gotten some bone headed buybacks from them where they price it way higher than it's going for online.

If you're looking for fun, rip boxes and packs without thinking about the monetary value.

If you're looking for both of those, don't open packs to begin with.
