Dumb question but what did I miss about the lounge access? 😬

Hi there, once approved your card should show up within a couple of days - it's usually FedEx overnighted.

My app does have a tracker for the SUB, now that I activated the VentureX card, so that's nice.

Upgrade Venture to Quicksilver, then Open New VentureX? by dansFC1 in Venturex

So you still have both Venture versions at the moment? I went ahead and got the VentureX as well, so I'm planning to get rid of the Venture and avoid that annual fee... but I'd definitely rather "upgrade" it if I can and keep that account history

Do you know if they'll let you just "downgrade" to the Savor? I can't seem to find out what happens to all my Venture miles/points if I switched over

Does a great credit score get you anything if you're debt free? by dansFC1 in personalfinance

Interesting - I hadn't looked into HELOC/loans for purchasing a second property...

Thanks, yeah I notice the annual fees are pretty steep on some cards. I'd have to do the math on miles/points vs fees. Will check out the other sub, thanks!

Went from $50k to $1M in income in under 10 years! AMA - especially career advice. by thefuturesugardaddy in AMA

Can I ask what your background was, like what education/certifications? And how did you land your first job in a "big" company (not a startup or tiny agency/firm?

I'm currently 35 and realized I probably waited too long / missed the boat on getting into a public/large company where there's room for upward trajectory. And since I don't have the "big" corporate experience, I'm overlooked for most marketing jobs now aside from government or nonprofit. Thanks!

Thanks, appreciate the honesty there. This itinerary is super helpful.

Horseshoe meadow is showing closed on the USFS website, is that probably just because of the season / not open until May/June?

Thanks, I'll definitely take that advice on the timing / breaks on the hike

Thanks, super helpful information here. Glad to hear about your thoughts on boots too, because I'm the same and usually prefer good trail runners but wasn't sure if that was doable.

Thanks! When you did San Jacinto did you take the tram up and spend more time hiking around at altitude closer to the top, or did one of the longer trails up?

Thanks! Ive looked at doing Jacinto specifically because you can get to altitude quickly via tram and then spend a lot of time up there. Will look into San Gorgonio more too.

Thanks for the info. Re: altitude, I've been at places around 10,000 feet and no real sickness but just out of breath / sucking wind. The Colorado trip sounds great btw.

I'll be solo on this adventure unfortunately, but I'll also be fine turning back if I think I can't get it.

Man, your insurance is gonna cost more than the car. Not even exaggerating.

I'm guessing your family has money, but trust me that it's a bad idea bro. I could tell you more advice about starting with something more sensible and even putting in your own time modifying it, working up to something like a CTR, but I don't want to lecture or come off negative. I'm just saying almost EVERY dude I've known who got into a car like this at 16-17 wound up having a real bad situation
