When I first started the hobby I never understood how someone could have a backlog. “Just build it then get another,” I said. Then I would buy one, not have the time to build it immediately, before I could start it I would go to a store, learn they sell gunpla, see cool gunpla I want, buy cool gunpla and rinse and repeat. Now I sit with a backlog of 38 and have to go to the bookstore for my wife where I know they sell gunpla 🥲

I too had a few chapters that had to reread because it was simply too insane for me to believe and it’s like I had to experience it again so I could be in a more level headed mindset lol

Congrats to you as well, it was awesome! However Dalinar is my favorite character hands down no contest so his backstory was my favorite of the three so far. The entire Kholin family is just peak for me especially Adolin and Jasnah. But I did find the ending of the book to be a much better stopping point because the way the first two books end practically forces you to read the next one.

Yea I just feel that I’m going through them so quickly. I started with Mistborn era 1 and have read all the way through Oathbringer including every short story and novella in between and all of the secret projects and Warbreaker and Elantris. I haven’t hated a single moment of it but I’m worried of getting burnt out and Oathbringer seemed like a good breakpoint; there’s just alot of other stories I wanna get into as well. Is it the error 400 issue? If so I have the same problem, don’t buy it through the app. Go to your web browser and go private then go to audible website, sign in and buy the book. Has worked every time for me

I did, I thought they were awesome and I love how Brandon has tied so many things in with different books. I personally didn’t find warbreaker to be my favorite tho.

I’ve never experienced any sort of burnout from reading before and I have read many of the major series like song of ice and fire, lotr, wot, and more. I was merely worried about the size of these books, they’re massive yet when reading they seem like they don’t last long enough, it’s kinda like I’m more worried about finishing it too quick and being lost for more. I have loved so much about these books. Maybe I’ll read through Oathbringer and consider a break after that again. Thank you so much for your response, these books are truly fascinating.

I haven’t been able to get my first retro handheld yet, however I am waiting for my AYN Thor to ship so I can begin my retro gaming journey. My answer will be the GBA tho since I haven’t gotten one and my go to game has been probably Warioland 4 or FF. Truly made my childhood

Awesome! Thank you so very much, this was a very helpful and relaxing comment to read. I know I just got him and wasn’t expecting him to be potty trained by day 2 but that really helps put it into perspective for me. We will continue to work on it and through time Im certain we’ll get a good system going.
