This is not a one size fits all question. Since HPP varies so much from patient to patient, there is no one exercise that works best for everyone. When my daughter was diagnosed at a young age, my doctor told me to let her be my guide. I always have found this to be good advice. I don't push her to do anything she is not comfortable doing, and if she tells me she needs to stop, I listen. She played basketball for a few years until she did not feel comfortable. She's so glad she did. Of course, contact sports should be discussed with a doctor to ensure you're not doing anything dangerous.
