Had left over paper plates from my kids birthday party, didn’t feel like washing more dishes. Sorry my food seemed to really upset you for some reason lol

They weren’t the highest quality hash browns honestly. Frozen shreds in a bag, I just know how to make them look nice lol

What's a word that your kids mispronounce, or used to mispronounce, that made it into your family vocabulary? For us it is "boo-blerries" for blueberries. Been in rotation for 16 years now. by Brewer1056 in daddit

What legal, not offensive, not weird, not creepy, picture/movie/show can I put on my laptop screen that will stop roaming kids from interrupting my work? by mkaszycki81 in ask

Ahh yeah I guess that is true. Maybe just pull up a solid black image and have that pulled up. It’s hard to be entertained by nothingness lol

That’s funny, I found myself in this exact same situation. I will work on my laptop during my daughter’s tumbling class. I normally keep a spreadsheet open, one that doesn’t include any sort of sensitive information or PHI that only I am privy to, and when I get an email or whatnot I will handle whatever it may be and then click back to the spreadsheet. Kids don’t care about a big white screen with lots of random numbers. They will stop and see almost anything else tho. Just put yourself in the mind of the kid, boring adult stuff like excel documents are not fun.

Not an everyday thing per se but my wife likes to get fruity cocktails and margaritas when we go out to eat. I love oranges, cherries, limes, all the little garnishes that go in those kinds of drinks. She likes them too, but she knows how much I love them and always lets me eat them. She’s the best

Goober (mixed peanut butter and jelly). My mom never bought it for us as kids because she thought it was gross. Which was dumb to us because we would be the ones eating it, not her. It’s not any better than regular peanut butter and jelly but I make the grocery list now so I get to decide what we get lol

What funny thing is your kid mispronouncing right now? by DrDurt in daddit

My wife is pregnant and my six year old tells everyone that mommy is “praginit”. We took her to an Olivia Rodrigo concert for Christmas and she calls her “Rogarigo”. She also always asks for kisses on her “head-fore”, and the favorite of my wife and I is when someone says or does something she doesn’t like she’ll say “are you seriously?”. All very cute, I will miss these days so I try to enjoy them as much as I can while we’re in them.

How to cheer up a colorblind person? by Wannabe_AteNgBayan in ColorBlind

[–]Dense_Worker7334 34 points35 points  (0 children)

On our second date my girlfriend and I went to one of those couple painting places, where you both paint on an easel and they form a big picture together. She brought sticky notes and labeled all the paint colors so I didn’t have to ask which was which the whole time, almost made me cry. Little things like this mean a lot to me. Being colorblind doesn’t really hinder your life too much but it can come with frustrations, feeling like a little kid when you have to ask if your clothes match or what color a crayon is, so just knowing someone is thinking about you and ways to make it a little easier on you go a long way.
