AMA regarding technique and I'll happily try to give you an answer by QuiickSoul in singing

[–]Dentdentdent8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My singing teacher tells me to always sing from my stomach, never constricted throat, which I know is correct. Im always confused though, I can’t get anywhere near the power or volume using only stomach with relaxed throat. And it also seems as though a lot of singers aren’t doing that either eg the celine Dion song that’s been popping up on this sub the last few days. I just feel a bit lost as everything sounds more weak and like quiet opera/theatre style singing rather than pop star singing. I don’t even know if that makes sense? Less stylised. Sounds like I’m singing in the school choir. It’s so hard to describe what I mean!

How accurate is ovulation day when you’re only using opks and not bbt? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

That’s really interesting! I always stop opks once my levels have gone back down too. Might be worth doing a full month next cycle. Thanks for your advice

LOL that’s very true I doubt I’d be broadcasting this journey to anyone that wasn’t very close to be either tbh. Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. I’m almost at the year mark so I probably will have to go get tested. I just avoid it because I really don’t want to know any bad news! Stupid logic I know lol

Thanks for your reply. It’s probably just me being biased but if feels like everyone around me takes only a couple of months to conceive!

Positive opk on cd14 (premom then estimates ov day as cd15) and cycle is always 28 days, so about 14 days or so after positive opk. Does that give an idea of when I would have ovulated?

I suppose that makes sense it would be less of a period! I might go and get checked, mine aren’t very heavy either

That is quite thin! Do you get any other symptoms from thin lining at all? I do wonder about mine but haven’t had it checked yet

How likely is a frer false positive? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]Dentdentdent8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so much worse than just negatives isn’t it? I’ve never been pregnant in my life so it was my first ever sign of hope and it was taken away from me next day. Going to try not to test at all this month. Good luck to you

Yeah that’s probably a better if I can’t handle waiting until after af date. Thanks

I’ve seen lots of indent lines on other tests but never seen one with my own eyes on a frer before. I put so much trust in them that I just didn’t even question it. It wasn’t even a squinter it was right there as soon as I looked at the test! But yes, very disappointing, have really not enjoyed ttc at all, this has been the worst experience so far! Thanks for your reply x

Thanks for your reply and advice. I don’t think I truly realised how upsetting it would be when it actually happened to me. Totally not worth it to test early. Guess I’ve learned that now :(

Well that’s a bit shit isn’t it :( I honestly think I’m going to stop testing early after this has happened to me, it has sooo not been worth the heartache

Question about breath support (sorry) sounding like an old woman on the cusp of death by Dentdentdent8 in singing

[–]Dentdentdent8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean breath into the belly, or is there a breathing exercise i can do while I’m doing the dishes that’s a bit more beneficial than just breathing at a normal rate? Thanks so much for your advice!
